    great snaps.

I cans still remember you fighting with your camera in EDI, unraveling a roll of film from it. LOL

A roll? three bloody rolls of film went **** up that day. 😡

Anyway, if anyone’s interested in another meet up in the Central Belt in May again this year, I’ll be in Glasgow from the evening of the 26th till mid-afternoon on June 2nd. (although the 29th I’m occupied, and I’m hoping to be similarly occupied on the 28th…)

    Just two more…

First, an AF 320 came in just as I was leaving, so I grabbed my camera back out of my backpack, but I didn’t quite get time to level it properly…

Then I went over to the Terminal to buy a Paper, and saw a Hello Aircraft, one of which will soon be a regular visitor to Britain, operating for BritishJet.

F-GHQF Air France A320-200 arriving from Orly.
HB-JIC Hello MD90-30 parked up near the Terminal.

(and you all thought AF aircraft were difficult to log the registration when they come in… have another look at D-ACHE… 😮 )

hopes to… and no Airlines mentioned?

LCY-GLA has been tried by various companies over the years (Scot Airways and BACX, for example), and it dosen’t seem to work.

    Isn’t this just Post boosting?

Since January, Swiss have already used a Privatair BBJ2 on the ZRH-EWR run.

yes, KLM has a strong identity, but does Swiss?

    Agreed.
Basing a 757 or two at EDI for example would have netted BA a good profit. As you say, CO have proven its viablility.
I think BA should be renamed to London Airways. LOL

Its sad that there isn’t one single British airline that serves the majority of our large airports for Longhaul. Whatever airline decided to do that would rake in the cash!

I still maintain no UK carrier would rake in the Cash by doing that, as I outlined in the ‘how dirty is the BA MAN 767’ thread (well, that was the base of it, even if it wasn’t actually called that…), as MarkL also points out.

From a pax point of view I wouldn’t have thought there was much difference between the A330 and the B767. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Not really, except that the 762’s are 20 odd years old, and the 330’s are 4-5 years old max, so they have big differences in IFE.

yeah, there was a thread about this ages ago, saying he’d quit in a years time for personal reasons. I remember cause it sounded stupid that he’d know a year in advance about personal reasons…
