Can’t speak for the Air Namibia plane, but the Qantas one is coming in to LHR in the morning. Not quite the usual London Pea souper, but still a light mist.
I actually think the Air Namibia one is probably the same.

Yeah, mongu’s right. My Uncle had an interview in Dublin last year, and had to book a flight from Glasgow at short notice to attend it. It was cheaper to fly Aer Lingus (BA codeshare, as are the flights from LHR), than Ryanair. Add to that the fact that PIK is the middle of bloody nowhere, well, no, that’s unfair, but an extra 30 miles each way from the south side of Glasgow, it definately made more sense to fly ‘full fare’

So will they still be flying codeshares for AF? Will they be BYO, too, or will Air France still provide free Wine?

BA’s domestic 752’s no longer have air nozzles, either, although the European ones do.

    Dunno why, though.

Ryanair are replacing their 732’s with 737’s… wouldn’t call them old. But given the option, I’d probably still go with BA. (it’s those 752’s that do it for me, I may have mentioned before… RB211-535C’s… [drools])

Any one got any idea what a/c BA used on the GLA-LHR shuttle in ’85? Only flight I’ve been on that I’m not sure about a/c, and it was my first flight, too… I went on to CDG after, on a Tristar, and flew direct back to GLA from CDG on a 1-11.

Could it have been a 757? must have been either a 752 or a 732, I think, unless they still used the trident in 85? maybe? anyone?

you could always try redeeming your skyteam miles… Air France only want 160’000 miles for a return ticket from Europe/North Africa to JFK on Concorde.

    I’m only about 150’000 miles away from a ticket…

There’s been an advert on German tv recently fearuring a 753 in TC colours.

SO I’m convinced at least one has been repainted.

Condor are now called Thomas Cook, and I think part of their fleet has already been repainted.

It will, however, still say “powered by Condor” on the fuselage.

wyswig, must be a typo. On the news they said ‘on an emergency radio frequency’.

and greekdude, I have excellent relationships with all the Americans I know… but it’s great to be able to wind them up… 😉 It’s all tongue in cheek.

but just for you, I’ll rephrase that.

what the hell is NATO doing, firing misiles in the Little Minch? better?
