Ah see, hawk eyes me… ;).
I knew it wasn’t LHR as they don’t do parallel take offs.
The fact Delta don’t fly to LHR could have been a bit of a giveaway too… (LGW isn’t that close… ;))

Definitely a QF 707. Besides, did QANTAS ever operate a T-tail aircraft?
717 π
BA and QF each have two dailies LHR-SYD, 1 each via SIN and BKK, as well as codesharing on the other’s flights, as well as one QF (also BA codeshare) LHR-SIN-MEL-SYD (so BA and QF have 5 flight numbers each LHR-SYD daily)
even more unlikely with that Skyteam logo on it… And BA generally have cleaner planes than AF… π
nah, to support manure, you’d have to move to the Far East.

I guess flying out to Basel and back from Geneva would be an interesting trip, the train in between would be nice, not sure it could be done in a day however.
Should be possible, although I don’t know what time the return flights from GVA are at.
The train from basel to Geneva Airport takes about three and a half hours, going via Delemont, Neuchatel, and round Lake Geneva.
Jean, as to your question about easyjet receieving 73G’s, two were delivered about two weeks ago (G-EZKC and G-EZKD), I don’t know if there are any more due, although I believe there are. As for the A319’s, the first UK registered Airbus is due this month (it’ll be G-EZEA); there are 4 A319’s due this month, with another 4 due in April, 3 in may, 2 in June, 1 each in July and August, and 3 in September. The UK registered Airbusses are to be based at LGW and SXF.

Air France already has a fleet of four F100s in their “Regional” division. They’d have to get another six if they indeed want to use 10. Air Litoral did not have F100s, but they did have five F70s.
you sure about it only being 4? I took the registrations of 5 different Regional F100s at BSL last year.

Jeanski, when you say crews could start on the ARJ how did this work? As far as i knew DAT were a seperate company entirely to Sabena and hence crews would be hired seperatly? I’m just curious as to how close there two companies actually were and if DAT were so close to SABENA howcome they didn’t get dragged down into the same financial ruin that SABENA did? Were they a subsidery company, or as Schriner did, operate under the SABENA banner (DHC-8s of Schriner operated into many UK airfields under the SABENA banner).
Sabena operated a couple of ARJ’s themselves, although most of the fleet was operated on their behalf by dat.
yup, absolutely good stuff. Now, if only there was a second daily flight enabling day trips…
Ah, but would BA have ever gone for the Airbus shorthaul fleet if they hadn’t inherited B-Cal’s 8 x A320 order when they took them over in 1987? I did hear that it was the experience of operating those 320’s that pushed them to order the 319/320’s they’re currently operating. (With 321’s still to come for their franchisees)
AF operate their 743’s and 742’s to the French Overseas Territories of the Carribean, and to the Islands of the Indian Ocean (Mauritius, La Reunion etc)
