kewl. Well, if you make it, Allan, I should be quite easy to spot… I’ll be the one wearing green and white hoops… 😉
gd, It’s the UEFA Cup last 16 match Barcelona v Celtic.

Ah the irony of that being right opposite Ibrox… Never made it to Bellahouston for that visit, I was only 3 at the time, although I recall my Uncle going up. I did however see his holiness a year or so later at Hearts’ ground (irony prevails… ok, it wasn’t Tynecastle, it was Murrayfield. but you know what I mean…;))
what it looks like on the ground:

no doubt he’s just a Man City or Arsenal fan… 😉
no, there wasn’t.
and jetblue offers a ‘terrible’ service, then?
how can you get lost in teh domestic Pier at T1? it’s dead straight, unless you’re at gates 70-90, in which case you access them through the BA Shuttle lounge at Gate 5. The best place I can think of for views in the T1 domestic pier (albeit through glass) is upstairs in the Executive Club Lounge. That has some excellent views of 09R/27L.
And as for Malt Whisky World in T1… I’ve NEVER been in there  😉 It is indeed an excellent place to browse, sample and buy Single Malts. Always make sure and stop off in the T1 departure lounge on my way to my LX flights in T2… 😉
(T2 is without a doubt the most depressing Airport Terminal I’ve ever had the misfortune to pass through.)
but that Flower IS an Edelweiss…
gd, Varig weren’t original members, but as far as I can recall, they were the first additions.
However, I kinda liked that livery, as at least you knew who else was in the alliance, unlike with the boring all white livery now. It really needs something to break the length up for the eye, especially on the LH 346’s.
is that Stelios in the RH seat?
short summer season last year? Was that the day trips to Seville? 😉
bloody hell.
4/25 for me, too. Need to improve my Dutch, Romanian and Afrikans spelling before I try that one again… 😮
9. Do i look like I give a toss when the first Helichopper took to the air?
different bases would normally be certified for different aircraft, depending on space avaliable and what certifications the engineers based there had.
I’m pretty sure PA also had 727’s based at ZRH, that they used on connecting flights to GVA.
Definately saw one there [ZRH] in the late 80’s, and the only connecting flight out of ZRH I can recall was GVA.
The Lockerbie flight (PA103) originated in FRA, and the FRA-LHR sector was operated by 727.
