I’m told that between the sixteenth and twentysixth of October, EZS flights 932 and 931 LTN-ZRH-LTN will be operated by 319, before returning to 737 from the winter timetable.
It’ll be in ZRH between 10:45am and 11:15am, so it should be leaving LTN around about 8:15am, and returning around 12:00pm, If that’s of any use to your plans to get to see it for yourself.
How about this LX Saab I snapped on Friday night, heading up into the clouds?
nb Rainbow on the left… It was much more visible a couple of minutes earlier, but there was nothing taking off to snap in front of it then 🙁
me? nah, I’m no’ paranoid.
Anyway, it’s Kenny Clark, innit? He won’t wait till the 94th minute to give them a penalty… although I’m unsure who he’ll blame the foul on, with Bobo being suspended… Maybe we could lend them Thommo for any penalties they get…
Aer Lingus already fly to ZRH codeshare with Swiss…
Would I be a cynic if I suggested that now they’re onboardoneworldSwiss are looking to retain routes through codeshares but still reduce the size of their fleet? :S
STopped off at BSL again this afternoon on the way home…

yeah, it should be the 737, but you never know… maybe JZB’ll be doing similar trials the day before it enters service? When JZA left BSL on Tuesday, it was going on to ZRH.
Incidentally, the easyjet 319’s will be looked after by SRTechnics at ZRH, so there may even be a possibility of seeing one over by a maintenance hangar? (don’t ask me where they are, though… it’s years since I’ve been to ZRH when it’s not been either dead of night or just passing through the transfer lounge)
It’s not just in the UK, Hand… the terrace at BSL has been shut for ages because the French are worried about something or other… It only used to be shut when the Republique Francaise A310’s were in, but they’ve been shut since 9/11 😡
Not that it makes any difference anyway, as I can stand about a hundred meters from teh runway at teh spot where I take my pics, and there’s no police anywhere near for miles…
right, in answer to those questions…
Dean – I don’t know when it’ll be stopping off at LTN next, I only had the test flight schedule for HB-JZA, although I’m told the 319’s will start off, as I’ve said, on the Luton/Gatwick/Nice routes. The chances should double shortly, as HB-JZB was delivered to Geneva yesterday, and is due to join JZA in service as of Sunday (the fifth). The others in the original batch of 5 to be based at GVA are due to enter service on the following dates:
HB-JZC 8 October
HB-JZD 16 October
HB-JZE 6 November
Michael – I really haven’t a clue how they went about getting pilots for the Airbusses. I haven’t seen any specific recruitment ads for Airbus pilots anywhere, so I’d assume they’re current 737 pilots, although maybe some of our pilots have heard otherwise?
Much as I’d love to, I’ll be in Fribourg playing a League game for Basel Rugby Club on Saturday afternoon at 3, which means setting out around about lunchtime. 🙁
Nonetheless, I’ll set the video for it.
You want my full list from yesterday?

F-GRNS Euralair A310-300 (totally white, save the port tail, which carries Nigerian Global livery)
Think I managed to discount the double entries… I was, after all, there for 5+ hours… most of those a/c made at least two movements at BSL

Obviously better than Olympique Lyonnais… 😀
gaw, I feel rough this morning… and to think I was only drinking Cokes in the pub last night till with 20 minutes left we decided it was Miller time…
And, to round of this selection, again, the reason I was there so long in the first place, Juliet Zulu Alpha.
Euralair A310-300 (the starboard side was totally white, apparently the tail colours are residue from a lease with Nigerian Global) F-GRNS
Hawker HS125 ZE395, (RAF Royal Flight?) heads back after presumably a fuel stop (it was in for just over an hour)
BBJ HZ-TAA touches down (apparently owned by a Saudi Prince, whose name escapes me for the moment…)
