I haven’t seen one, either, although there’s one due in for the Switzerland v ROI Euro2004 qualifier next month at the St.Jakob Park here in Basel, bringing Irish fans in from Dublin.
Hoping to get pics not only of it, but of the Air Atlanta 742 also arriving at the same time, and the two EI A330’s coming in, too.
It’s just under 200 Miles from London to Manchester.
I’ve had a quick look on Opodo for prices, and the cheapest I could get for a day trip next Monday was 78 pounds with VLM, from LCY to MAN, with bmi [from LHR] being from 150 notes return, and BA don’t seem to have any seats avalaible on their Monday morning flights from both LHR and LGW to MAN.
(although there’s a note saying if my dates are flexible, bmi return flights from LHR to MAN start from 64 pounds)
Originally posted by Ren Frew T1 is a bit of a dump and needs a good overhaul, some windows looking airside wouldn’t go amiss either, at the public side of the terminal.
Yeah, the bmi Lounge at Gate 4 is pretty dire view wise… you’d have been better going over to the BA lounge at Gate 5 across the hall to wait, it’s got nice big windows, and what’s more it looks right onto runway (I think) 09L…
However, if you think T1 is a bit of a dump, you’ve obviously never been to T2…
ok, here’s the more exotic ones I saw this weekend…

With any luck AF will use it on the ORY-MLH shuttle run soon, so I can get a pic. The flight’s generally either a 320 or a 319, so we must have a chance at some stage…
Jammy Bassas… and to think we dropped Rab the Slab cause he was no good at crosses…

Great pics, and I always enjoy seeing DUB shots. Don’t suppose you got an Aer Lingus A330 shots ?
Will try and get you some next month. There are two EI A330 football Charters due in at BSL when the ROI take on Switzerland at the St. Jakob Park on the 11th.
That was at Rixheim, a couple of Miles up the road.
In the Northeast of Switzerland, right beside the French and German borders.
The Airport’s actually on French territory, with a fenced in road leading to half of the terminal from Switzerland, the other half of the terminal is easily accesible from France, which explains all the AF domestic flights. The Hills in the background of the photos are part of the Schwarzwald, Black Forest, in Germany.
Basically, it’s pretty much in the centre of Europe.
And away she goes, down 16, into the sun/reflections, unfortunately.
And the final piece of what was a great hour and a half’s photographing…
Saudi Royal Flight 747SP HZ-AIJ
Ah yes, the real reason I went down to BSL in the first place…
Aeris 767-300ER F-GOFS

Turning onto 16…
