Does that buccaneer fly?
look at the 747 shadow. It appears to be upside down???
I’ve heard that the RAF are putting the remaining lightnings back into service :p
Great news – Thunder city is relocating to the UK.
Wait until april 1st
I’m serious! On a forum somewhere, someone definately said that the people at (I think warton) wanted to get one up here. It was later said that there was no chance of this happening due to the CAA wanting a recently experienced lightning pilot (RAF or something).
I’ve heard somewhere that someone at (BAE Warton?) wanted to get a thunder city lightning up here for the 50th anniversary. Is there any truth in this? (Obviously if it is true, it will amount to nothing- at least as long as the CAA are watching).
Never mind the trays, get me some buckets
Never mind the buckets, get me some bath-tubs 🙂
I don’t see any problem with a UK lightning anyway. Seems like the CAA can’t be bothered to have anything to do with them.
are they going to european aviation :p
how about some lightnings :p
Is there anyone involved with the project that can shed any light on the bucc’s progress?
Damn- why does everyone say that!
Where does the airspace controlled by the CAA end? – could a lightning fly off the coast of Britain?
a lightning without afterburners is like a spirfire without a merlin
– yes, but it’s still a spitfire!
The CAA are missing the point that three (or four) lightnings are flying perfectly well in SA with no major problems. Can’t the burners be disabled if they are such a problem?. I’m getting really peed off that Shackleton/Bucc/Lightning examples are flying in other countries other than the UK – where they should be. But what can we do?.
I went a few weeks ago when a battery was connected up to the lightning and some of the electronics were switched on in the cockpit- amazing how it works after all this time!
