No, really, I won’t. Not ever. I have done that once and have no wish to repeat the process. I shall be working tonight so that I can spend tomorrow doing non-CGI aviating!

Get a grip you lot ! 😡 I’ve finally had it with slagging off the Hollywood films – I don’t see any clever cloggs in the UK making films about ww2 history ! Until we start meeting the competition we should keep mum and enjoy what they put out. It’s entertainment for crying out loud !

Finally, just to put to bed once and for all the argument about how ‘we’ captured the enigma machine . . .three were captured, and the Yanks got one of them ! 😀 U571 was okay.

ps. and who is re-making the Dambusters ? ? ? Not a Brit, that’s for sure.

Sit back, shut up and enjoy the film ! 😀

There was a Timewatch BBC 2 programme on tv last night about the Warsaw uprising . . .it reported also that the Soviets made drops but without parachutes, thus destroying all supplies. The resistance fighters were in such small pockets in the city that more often than not the supplies went to the German army instead. A devastating story if it was accurate, beaten by the Germans, imprisoned by the Soviets, and Warsaw raised to the ground.

    War sucks.

At the entrance to Heaven he’ll stand; and stare wonderingly as the Pearly Gates open gently for him. Wrapped up in a warm glow he’ll see long lost friends missing in battle waiting to greet him, boys he’d forgotten and men for whom he’d shed a tear . . .and then the lads whose aircraft had fallen to his guns, shaking his hand and patting him gently on the shoulder.

    ‘Welcome Johnny’, they’ll say.

All too soon our veterans will be gone forever. It’s almost too sad to bear thinking about.
