JDK don’t believe everything you read just because it’s got ‘official’ on it
I’ve read pieces at the PRO and if nothing else you must realise they are written by a human hand

Everyone has missed the point – Ollie announced that he had been on the PlaneTalk forum. He may have seen the 5 page thread there, regarding his posts here . . .then the bun fight started.

Peace and love to all 🙂

The 109 was flown by Horst Perez who is alive today and refused to attend the unveiling of his ‘restored’ 109. He still will not talk to anyone about anything or about any part of his time in the Luftwaffe.
    🙁
Michael Turner produced a great painting called ‘Hande Hoch’ which shows Perez surrendering to soldiers and a Police Officer alongside his 109.

Holy **** taki mushrooms fellas – you boring old bunch of fuddie duddies . . .

. . .YES! 😀 to a Dambusters remake – it doesn’t have to replace the original. The original is just that – in a class of it’s own. Movies are to entertain and highlight great events. Are you guys honestly saying don’t make it ??? 😮

I get bl**dy annoyed with people who slate Pearl Harbour, U571 etc etc – good on ya Hollywood for making these movies, I don’t see any Brit film makers doing films about great WW2 history ! 😡

Let’s not get hung up on historical accuracy either – what is history ? Napoleon said ” What is history but a fable agreed upon ”

Make the movie Sir David – and let’s see some great CGI an’ all! I tell you what, that link above called ‘Merlins’ took my breath away :p

    Rant over :diablo: 😀

    Quick question:

While reading out a short piece I’d written at my writers’ group last night, someone picked up on the fact that one piece of dialogue (from one pilot to another) said something along the lines of “Bandits to port”, and a little later again said “Break left”.

Someone mentioned this was inconsistent, and that they should say one or the other. To me it looked fine and sounded fine, but it threw up thoughts on which one should be correct. Should the pilot have said “Break (to) port” instead? Or is the way I’ve written it correct?

(BTW, apart from that, they loved it! :D)

    Right – let’s hear it then ! 🙂

WOT :diablo: 😉 No way Pedro. Boot full of right rudder on take-off – no thanks, and while I might like the sound of the Griffon . . .I pay eternal homage to the Mark 9 and the Merlin . . . 😀 😀 😉
