Eglin moved it’s airplanes out to other bases until Isaac passes. Does anyone know if it includes the JSF program?
MiG is highly respectful. Mig is disrespectful or at a minimum in poor taste IMHO. I’m not sure how old you are, but you might not have been around when the mainstream media wasn’t hack journalism.
Straight from Wikipedia:
Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (Российская самолетостроительная корпорация «МиГ»), or RSK MiG, is a Russian joint stock company. Formerly Mikoyan-and-Gurevich Design Bureau (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич, МиГ), then simply Mikoyan, it is a military aircraft design bureau, primarily designing fighter aircraft. Its head office is in Begovoy District, Northern Administrative Okrug, Moscow.
It was formerly a Soviet design bureau, and was founded by Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich as “Mikoyan and Gurevich”, with the bureau prefix “MiG.” Upon Mikoyan’s death in 1970, Gurevich’s name was dropped from the name of the bureau, although the bureau prefix remained “MiG”. The firm also operates several machine-building and design bureaus, including the Kamov helicopter plant.

I find the claim that MiG 1.44 had flight problems to be interesting. What is the source of this claim? The wiki states that MiG 1.42 was never completed due to the collapse of the Soviet Union. The 1.44 model was basically a compromise to get the half-complete 1.42 model into a flight capable state. It is pretty obvious that the company was incapable of funding the program. But there is no indication publicly that the 1.42 design wasn’t a fantastic design.
I would think VLO shaping, minimal frontal surface, supercruise, Eurofighter-level conventional maneuverability, TVC options for super maneuverability, fully internalized weapons, big gun, big cartridge capacity for the gun, and the best weapon suite since MiG-31. I’m not so sure the MiG 1.42 design isn’t world class if it’s completed in 1989.
India should opt for narrowing the choice between F/A-18F, MiG-29K, and Rafale. It’s pretty obvious they want something bigger than the Gripen and won’t have the budget for a redeveloped Su-33. The Su-33 is dead and will never see the light of day as a reborn program. The MiG-29K and Rafale should have the inside tracks. I don’t see any AEW options for them if they choose Rafale.
I hope the original director can RIP. I don’t know whether to believe the cancer story or not. He had a good run of movies.
I still like the idea the hero flies F-35C against a bad guy in an Su-37 Terminator or Su-35 Super Flanker. And I want them to incorporate Saegeh (as MiG-28) and Iranian F-14A. And it wouldn’t hurt to insert F-15C Golden Eagle, F-16C Falcon, Typhoon, Super Hornet, Su-30MKI or MiG-35, and Tornado. I’d like to see the F-35C fly in scenic places with exotic backdrops that make me want to watch it sixty times. And I want beautiful flight scenes like in that French movie back in 2007(?). And plenty of beautiful women wouldn’t hurt. But less of a gay theme this time around!

The MiG-35 demonstrator is a modified MiG-29M2. The final version of MiG-35 doesn’t exist save for on paper.
MiG-29M2 to be correct, as MiG-35 is very different. :p
Yes it is, the MiG-35 is bigger in fact. Over 50% more T/R modules in the Zhuk-AE AESA for the MiG-35 compared to the M2-based prototype. The MiG-35 is meant to operate autonomous from the GCI, whereas the MiG-29M2 still is largely tethered to it. The MiG-35 is also rated for 6,000 flight hours or a 40 year service life. The MiG-35 will also sport modified engines of its predecessor, and offer them with or without TVC. In reality the MiG-35 doesn’t exist as the demonstrator is just a MiG-29M2. But if it does flesh out it will be much more similar to the mid-life Super Hornet in design goals.
Pure CG. Both are in identical focus before they were blurred. Background is phoney.

google “Exercise Indradhanush” for lots of pictures showing Flankers with Typhoons and Tornados.
google “Vayu-Shakti IAF” if you want to see the IAF’s mix in action
google “indian navy tu-142” if you want to see Bears with western escorts of many types
Are there any flights with F-111’s and Fencers or Backfired? Or perhaps ADV Tornados with Flogger bomber-destroyers? B-52’s and Bears? Lancers and Blackjack? There are lots of intercept pictures out there, but not many cooperation pictures.
Yep, and notice the gun is removed on that side for weight purposes. The GR1B may have had the gun removed and the flash guard kept in place. The guns leave huge burn marks that are very pronounced on the left side. I don’t expressly see the burn marks on the probe side of GR1B. I do not know why they used this probe location, but it may have to do with the different nose between variants.
They most certainly did have retractable probe. I haven’t seen a dirty right gun port on the same side of the probe, but I’ve only looked at a half dozen of them. The left gun ports on the same aircraft are dirty. But I have been doing my research by phone screen so it is painfully slow.
