It’s not the North it is preparing for, its China and how they’d love to race in to fill the void when the North collapses.
Where will the arms race in SEA lead to twenty years from now? We need to stop exporting the leaping stones in technology. The balance of power was much more tenable when the superpowers held back their ace cards. If the US exports F-35 then I certainly hope it’s without ToT.
It may sound like a pedantry difference, but it does mean different goals. It’s like saying a square is a rectangle and vice versa, which is not true.
Such a shame Dassault never extended the F1 family by using Snecma’s M88 turbofan. Keep the costs low enough for countries like Croatia, and prop up development of Rafale components at the same time. Using F1 as the basis would have kept costs down.
China’s flurry of developments is driving an arms race across the Pacific rim. Lets hope the ring of fire stays cool.
Looks like its begging for a third main wing, one thats straight out from the midline of the body.
Can’t be practical. I could see them operating twenty F-5’s, not F-4’s. Must be a mistake.
I think truck height is more accurate. The truck is slightly turned in each picture. Use known constants.
Other than a couple of incidents where the human factor played a major role, the KC-135 family is doing fine. People use its age as a crutch when its been updated along the way and is in pretty admirable shape considering what other fleets operate and how much they are put into service.
How can they buy them for war when they cannot even maintain them in peacetime?
This is a NEWS THREAD. Comment elsewhere.
No… sickly is right, kinky is something else alltogether haha
Sickly is not either, it would simply be ‘sick’ or the long form might be ‘sickening’. Depends on the perspective of the speaker. But ‘kinky’ used in a slang sense is correct, it implies ‘sexually perverse’.
P-3’s make much more sense. Even bartering for S-3 airframes makes more sense on a budget.
Adjusting for inflation it’s barely enough to conjur up one complete set of concept sketches.
A rehash of the A-37 would fit the job.
