It seems to me that the Goverment is dead set in stripping Scotland of Mod jobs etc . Is it the case that the tories got kicked out of scotland ?? It seems like its political to me.

Don’t get me wrong , i realise we do need to make cuts, but not as severe as it its going to be. The Moray area has / did have to major bases , loosing 1 was a body blow, but its future was sealed due to the cancelation of the MRA4,but to loose the other is the sucker punch in my view

The Mod obviously hasn’t thought of the effects on this, amd just recently 14 Sqd and VII squadrons are going to be disband not over a year , but months.

I don’t mind really. If any bases have to be closed, or work cut, I’d rather it was done in Scotland than England, since Scotland has had more than its fair share of political benefits over the years. I guess Scots are just going to have to accept that with Tony Blair and Gordon Brown (both Scottish!) gone, they are no longer going to be getting special benefits. Next step would be to reduce spending on Scotland by central government to a level where it matches their share of the population, so if they have 10% of the population they would get 10% of central government funding. If they don’t like that and threaten to become independent, then let them vote on it and leave 😎

The moray area has had to deal with the blow of Kinloss closing and possibily Lossie . How would u like to live in a area that hass/will lose major employer. We have had to take the brunt of the Def cuts same as any1 else. And we pay our share in oil money which the gov has robbed off all of years., and guess what it was the gov in westminster that squandered it.
