Going to see Watchmen tomorrow and,as I know nothing about the highly regarded comic book,thought I should do a bit of homework.During Friday night and Saturday morning,I sat through the almost 6 hour edition of Watchmen-The Complete Motion Comic http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1322240/ .
Just sat through an interminable 165 minutes that was Australia http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0455824/ .I was expecting so much more from Director Luhrmann.What I saw was a chick-flick with balls.It wasn’t until the Japanese incursions,in the last third of the film,that I sat up and became interested.It also reminded me of the world-wide indigenous populations that have been treated so badly by the white man.I foresee that this DVD will sit and gather dust on my shelf for a long time.Oh well,you win some,you lose some.
