This is the Bradshaw Sea Fury arriving at RIAT this year. As has been said elsewhere, it is a real shame it doesn’t appear on the circuit but it does seem it’s priced out of many organisers budgets.
If BA are absolutely desperate to keep one flying, then they could “buy” the Design Authority. I know Air Atlantique tried to with the Shackletons. However, it would be very costly. At least with G-BOAF at Filton, there is a very slim chance.
The Reds were forced to hold off for some time and could only perform half a show at Eastbourne in 2002 when some microlights appeared off to the north of Beachy Head.
If there is a bright side to this story, it has to be that no-one was hurt. Hopefully, the engineering team in time will be able to restore her back to her formal self and we’ll be able able to enjoy the sight of the Blenheim (Bollingbroke) back in the skies again in the future.
