BB, I might have been a bit harsh when I remarked on Ms Hansen’s looks……. so I’ll take back the ‘Punch’ remark.

You are correct when you say that it’s what’s inside that counts, but they also say that what’s inside your heart can be seen through the words you speak….. If you have not seen what’s inside Ms Hansen’s heart, look up some old Google videos!

For years we (australians) put up with Ms Hanson and her party/friends brainless, hatefull racial comments and ideas….. it was a shock just to see her in the news again!

I’m letting the ‘Charles Dickens’ remark stand though.

    cheers,

    -John

She’ll be back to her old self in not time at all in Britain!:dev2:

    To Quote Capt. Blackadder:

“If only she was as good looking as Punch”

    and

She’s: “about as thick as the large print edition of the complete works of Charles Dickens!”

A/ I’m booked in for a CT scan this afternoon, not eating for past 24 hrs (so far) is not a nice feeling.

B/ I started the two doses of ‘Phosphoral’ six hours late yesterday and had to take the second dose at midnight and have had to stay up to be ‘ready’…….. it really gives me the Sh-ts!

C/ The Phosphoral cost 388 kroner (£43)!! (Bloody norwegian prices!)

I’ve booked a roast dinner with the wife tonight:)

    cheers,

Judging by your pics your sending it back…:D.

Yep, going by the photo sequence it looks like it.

I hope there were secure tie-down points in the back of the van (after seeing the small wheels in the engine stand). I could just imagine the doors flying open and the merlin rolling off down the road (with Benny Hill chaseing it and the correct music playing of course):D

Maybe we can have some photos of the Merlin with the plastic off…. please:)

cheers from cold Norway (-12.5 outside right now),

Nice shots 😎 whats the badge on the hawk next to the 100sqn hawk??

    ATB
    James

    Hi James.

I’m not sure who XX265 flies with but the badge looks like the insignia used by Combined Operations during WW2……..

    http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/milorgman/WW2combinedopsbadge03.jpg

It could be that during WW2 Combined Operations had some RAF squadrons attached to it and XX265 is currently serving in one of those squadrons?

One site has XX265 listed as being with 100 Sqdn. I checked and found that 100 didn’t have anything to do with combined Ops during WW2.

    cheers,

Now there’s something to watch over a few times…. Great footage and sound!!

It’s just as well Black 6 was there instead of the Buchon or it would sound like two Merlins (not that there’s anything wrong with that!).

cheers from Norway (it’s already snowing).

(Still looking for an ‘early’ Harrier aircrew manual (GR.1 or GR.3).

    Hi,

my dad’s old copy of ‘Our Air force’ (RAF) printed in around 1939 was the first aviation book I remember as a kid. (Two bladed Spitfires, Wellingtons, Fairy Fox ect).

My grandfather served in the RAAF during WW2 and later worked at Commenwealth Aircraft Corp. Melbourne during the 1960s……….. he gave me his service medals and other things……… that was the beginning.
We used to go to CAC for the staff christmas open day, while all the other kids were haveing pony rides and such I’d be inside looking at the Mirage production line!
Of course the 30 + Airfix and Frog 1/72 models hanging from the ceiling in our bedroom was an omen of things to come! (I had two brothers who built models too).

The real point of being completely screwed up was going to see the Battle of Britain film in 1969 (about five times)!

The spare room before my daughter was born, now it’s full of fluffy toys and pink furniture!

    cheers,

    -John
