    RE: Q & A

Shorthome, those questions are a laugh!I’ve heard some of these before so I will try my best to answer them:

Q-What separates flight attendants from the scum of the earth?
    A-The cockpit door.

Q-How does the Airbus A340 manage to climb?
A-By the bend of the earth.

Q-Why does the Pope kiss the ground each time that he lands ?
A-What do you expect from Alitalia?

Q-How many pilots does it take to change a lightbulb?
A-Just the one.He holds the bulb and the world revolves around him.

    LOL!

Geedee,I seem to remember the upstairs viewing area,it was on two levels if I rember rightly, gave fantastic views of the runway, apron and out to sea!I’m not sure if it is still there,I normally go to the airport perimeters if i’m over in Jersey spotting.Could of been closed when the new terminal opened?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-11-02 AT 05:19 PM (GMT)]Air Lib Express fly to the old French departments,Fort-De-France in Guadeloupe (still is French) and Pointe-A-Pitre in Haiti…

Air Lib Express it is the first low-cost airline to try this concept across the Atlantic.Meals,non-alcoholic drinks and magazines/ newspapers are all free.Be interesting to see how it works out.

I do believe they have been using this aircraft, former Air Liberte for a while now.

    RE: Aer Lingus

Comet,i’ve done JER-ORK on a Fokker 50 (rather long time ago) and JER-DUB on the BAe 146.They are one of my favourite airlines. The cabin crew are very friendly and helpful and the service is good. However,on all Aer Lingus UK flights you now have to pay for food and drinks so the quality of service might of changed from when I travelled them.

Have a great trip.Ireland is beautiful!

Geedee,I see you’ve been to Jersey!I have a book on the Dutchess.I’ve been reading up about it and it is a fascinating and beautiful aircraft.Sadly it was damaged recently in the bad weather when it got stuck in the mud.Anyway great pictures!

Terrible. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones.Sad day for an airline which has a fine safety and maintenance record.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-11-02 AT 05:50 PM (GMT)]Wysiwyg, good joke!I was thinking of that one myself.
I think it kind of looks like a giant hot dog?Just my perception…

At high altitudes those colours are really going to be visable from the ground! I’ve seen the Buzz BAe 146s flying over and because of their bright yellow colour, they are easily spotted.
