Nah…but anyway,to get rid of them I suggest just telling them I am a Christian and you do not appreciate their way of live being forced upon you is normally an effective way.Kind and not illegal!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-11-02 AT 05:55 PM (GMT)]Yes they advise you against it.I had a cousin who went into journalism and she said that they advise you not to take that option at university.I think it is something to do with the standard of English and the fact that you may be too aware of certain aspects of journalism though i’m not really sure.

    RE: Halloween!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-11-02 AT 10:39 AM (GMT)]Frank, sadly however tempting that option may seem, I don’t think the authorities would see the fun nor the rationalisation in that idea.
My idea to frighten the moron was to splash water on them…simple yet an affective option }> Problem was no one turned up and terrorised my area, which was lucky compared to last years events!

RE: The Last Days of Sabena

    Good article.
Sad story but not surprising for an airline which made only three profits in a long history spanning nearly 80 years.
Anyway,Belgium has SNBA now so we can’t look to the past but to the future.Maybe they will be more successful?

RE: Airbus, Vietnam Airlines sign contract on sale of A321s; valued at 300 million euro

Airbus have undercut their prices. With the downturn in the aviation industry it was vital to change the prices as airlines became less willing to pay for new aircraft.
In the case of Easyjet,Airbus apparently offered them very low prices, even though they were making a loss just to get a bigger market share.I’m not sure how reliable the information I had was,but that is what I heard.
However, what is to say that Airbus was offering Vietnam low prices?Maybe it was just that quality of the product and it fitted their operations and needs more.

    RE: Aircraft numbering question

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-11-02 AT 08:47 AM (GMT)]The numbering you speak of was designed by Boeing in the 1950s.It allows identification of the first owner of an aircraft by the use of a number which,as said, designates its previous owner(s)
For example BA’s code is 36 so it’s aircraft are assigned 747-436 or 757-236.

I’m sure someone else will be able to explain in better.

    RE: Boats!!

Dcfly,I just watch. The ships tend not to have registrations on them, only the yachts so it can be rather tedious taking them down!I take pictures sometimes but then again what is the point when i’m likely to see that boat again? Its not at all like an airport,it’s quite predictable.

    RE: Halloween!!

Just another excuse for some moron to throw eggs at my house x( It took weeks to come off last year.I once enjoyed it,but I find it has all become overboard and it is an excuse to do anything.
Anyway,I have never had anything spooky happen to me only small things such as my hairs standing on end.I thought I once saw a ghost but I don’t know could of just been hallucinating it.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 31-10-02 AT 04:25 PM (GMT)]Good to see the confirmation of a fleet renewal plan from them. They really do need some new aircraft as the fleet is ageing rapidly.
Should we be expecting Air India’s plans soon? :9
