RE: What do you think about this picture?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-09-02 AT 06:51 PM (GMT)]Could it not just be by the posistion of the photographer? The airport is situated around large hills and so you are able to take pictures looking down on the aircraft.I am probably talking absolute tripe, but I don’t think it is fake.
RE: Whats your fav classic car?
Porsche 356.German masterpiece,in these cars you can really see where the 911 and newer versions of the car originated.I will try and get some pictures scanned of the car.

RE: What do you think about this picture?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-09-02 AT 03:33 PM (GMT)]I’m not saying if I think its fake or not,but Madiera’s airport runway was extended so larger aircraft could land on it.The bottom end is built on stilts and is right next to the sea.Could that have something to do with what the picture looks like?I must admit it is poor quality.
RE: Jersey Increase!!!
Don’t get me wrong,I love the Trislander! Its a great little aircraft for short hops across the sea between GCI-JER etc. However, from my own personal experience a 45 journey across the channel is not that pleasent! The aircraft are cramped and rather tiny with 3 extremely noisy propellors, your ears are ringing once you have landed. There is no aisle so you feal rather claustrophobic.
I love the aircraft, its part of my islands identity, when you tell people about Aurigny, they say “Oh yes!The Joeys” The aircraft has been in service for over 30 years and yet still keeps on flying day after day, fantastic!I just think 50 minutes on the aircraft is pushing it a bit for the passenges.
I’m wondering if there will be refreshments given out before you board, seeing that Le Cocqs (The owners of the airline) have a supermarket in Alderney!!The whole purpose of AirX at first was to deliever food daily from Bournemouth to Alderney with an Islander, its now been extended to passenger services.
Alderney-Bournemouth
Alderney-Cherbourg
Alderney-Jersey (Starts October)
Jersey-Bournemouth (Starts October)
RE: Pic Of The Day – Cougar
Passenger flights are ending soon, the 727 being used is being converted to cargo. They are also purchasing some 737s i’ve heard.
RE: Home-cooking
Ok wysiwyg,I will tell the truth,I have had the ormers but didn’t enjoy it that much, infact I didn’t really eat them only tasted…just makes it sound a bit better for anyone wanting to cook them! I guess the recipe is nice for anyone who likes ormers :9
I don’t really like Bean jar, only on parties is it really cooked in my family because it makes a good hot meal along with things such as Chili or spaghetti. Anyway, here is the recipe:
Ingredients
1 Pigs trotter, shin of beef, half a pound of Haricot Beans, half a pound of Butter beans, 2 Large Onions chopped, seasoning, 2 pints beef stock or water.
Method
Soak the beans overnight and drain.
Place the soaked beans in a large ovenproof casserole or bean jar along with the meat, onions and stock, then season.
Cover and cook in a low oven ( 100C) for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Top with extra water or stock if necessary, season to taste and serve with fresh bread.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 17-09-02 AT 05:54 PM (GMT)]Yup as many as you want, however,it should be said that for the convinience and benefit of other members that you should only attach around 5 or 6 because for people with slower modems’ these pictures can take rather a long time to load.No use putting 20 on because it would be unlikely many people would wait for it to load!
You can also attach an image like this:
http://…. as long as it ends as an image file,e.g. jpg, gif.
RE: Jersey Increase!!!
Thanks for that. The 737 is being operated on the Cardiff route which beats BA’s small Jetstream 41!
RE: First pics of Germanwings …
