RE: UK Aviation News
Thanks Beboy for informing me that the Eastern Airways flights are subjectto approvel,I am hopeful they will be in for the summer as unlike many summers pasted the airport has seemed to loose opertors rather than gain them.Last year JER lost Frankfurt Main with Lufthansa,Brussels with Sabena,Dublin with RyanAir and Vienna with Tyrolean. But this year they have got 4 new carriers,Air Wales to Swansea,Love Air to Isle of Man and Bournemouth and AirX ltd to Bournemouth as well as the return of the Tyrolean CRJ200 so things really do look posotive for this year.
Beboy to you know what days the flights would be operated on?Would it be weekends or weekdays?
Guernsey
Well not on the grand scale of Heathrow but certainly a pretty busy airport in the summer months with flights in from around Britain as well as France,Ireland,Germany,Benelux regions and Switzerland. Here are some of my favourite pictures.

Terrible news I will miss his posts for the next two months. At least its only a small jail sentence nothing that long compared those spotters in greece faced.
Anyway, hopefully the AW can keep moving for the next months without him, anyone want to take on his ‘Pic of the day’? I am sure he would still want it to be posted.

I am still in education in Guernsey though at the weekends in the summer I help do baggage handling with Aurigny for some etra money. When I leave school I definately want to get into something to do with aviation maybe ATC or journalsm.
RE: What’s your favourite Tri-jet?
That is hard though I could find out about how many of the aircraft were built:
DC-10/MD11=386 civil aircraft built with over 339 in service in 1999.
L-1011=250 built for civil flights and 156 still in service in 1999.
L10-11/500=50 built for civilian service with 34 in service in 1998.
RE: Greatest Airlines of the World
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-03-02 AT 08:40 AM (GMT)]Surely Delta must be included? They are not only one of the largest airlines in the US but one of the oldest. It was set up back in 1924 to spray cotton fields in the Mississipi Delta and in 1928 the first passenger services took place.I am not sure about how many airlines have been arouund that long?
