RE: Bad news for Coca Cola drinkers

This has made me think,do Virgin serve Coca Cola onboard or Virgin Cola?Virgin Cola is not that popular yet has Richard Branson decided to serve his brand onboard?I have travelled Virgin before yet can’t remember what type of Coke I was given.

    RE: France

My friends go to Eurocamp every year and they love it due to the variety of activities avaliable.
I like France its a great country,i must go there 4 or 5 times a year because of the cheap ferry tickets you can get from GCI to get the cheap goods.Favourite area in France is around Bretagne and Brittiany area the scenery is beautiful around there and the food is great!

    RE: What’s your favourite Tri-jet?

My favourite Tri-jet is definately the TriStar. When I am at Gatwick in the summer I love watching the Air Transat and ATA TriStars taking off.Pity so many airlines are retiring them ATA and Delta come to mind although it has had a good life, first commercial flight was in 1972 with Eastern after many problems with the engines due to Rolls-Royces bankruptcy in 1970 after higher than estimated costs with the L-1011’s chosen engines the RB211.

    More C.I. news

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-03-02 AT 06:25 PM (GMT)]Sorryto keep bringing up this topic but I don’t think it deserves a new one and it is also giving some info that could be of interest to someone.
So here is some more news from here in the C.I:
There is suggestions that IOS Skybus will operate a Plymouth-Guernsey-Jersey service with a Twin Otter after Brymon pulled out of the route.

Because of the movement of the RJ100’s from Gatwick to Manchester and Birmingham, the JER-LGW service will be changed from an RJ100 to a 737!(One good thing to come out of the BA cutbacks in my opinion)GCI still gets the crummy ATR72.

There is talk of a new airline (probably Transavia)operating the Jersey-Amsterdam route. At the moment passenger who want to the delights of Amsterdam :7 have to go via GCI with Aurigny.

Aurigny will not operate the Guernsey-Bristol service which they had been granted by the GTA (Guernsey transport authority)They say they want to concentrate on more there current services.

British European are operating charers on behalf of a local travel company to Palma with a 146.

Jersey’s multi-millon pound new taxiway will open next saturday. The taxiway is now able to take any aircraft up to the size of a 757.Great views of the aircraft from the roadside are visable to now!

Jersey airport has a new website: http://www.Jersey-airport.com
It rivals mine which is set up on Geocities, mine is now being turned in to a channel island aviation news site (its rubbish): http://fly.to/egjj

    RE: New services confirmed

Easyjet is definately very eager to expand on its French low cost services, there is not much in the way of low cost carriers in France except for Air Lib which I believe is offering low cost services between French cities,so Easyjet should be a very popular optionion. If services are started between CDG and NCE it may also be giving the TGV a run for its money!By mid-June,4 737s and 15 daily services will be operating from CDG and ORY.

RE: What is Air 2000 like to fly?

Cool,at least I know now that I should expect a decent service.I am normally a bit wary about charter airlines because of the image the media give them with such programs as BBC’s ‘Watchdog’ and other programs such as ‘Airline’ and also because of what your family and friends tell you about how the food was awful and how cramped it was, ect.
Some charter airlines service is poor and they are always delayed which really does not deliever a value for money service whichyou would epect but with Air 2000 I am very hopeful that I will have a pleasent experience with them. Thanks for the information!
Also..I nearly had a heart attack when my Mum said to me that we were going through JMC,after all my anti JMC posts I would have to post ‘What is JMC like to fly?’Thank God it was wrong!!!

Where will be there techinal stop over point?Surely SIN would be the best place due to the tie up VS has with SQ.Maybe Shanghai or Hong Kong could also be two possible stopover points into Australia.

    RE: Thank You!

Its good to see your friend is much better now.I know how concerned you must of been you see a while back at the end of February my friend had a very serious accident whie snow boarding,he fell 150ft.At first the docters said he would probably not survive or if he did he would probably have serious brain damage.Around 6 weeks on he has started to talk and is eating a bit of food which is great! So when something like this occurs or what happened to your friend,it really makes you realize how much you do love them and how we really take life for granted.Anyway hope your rriend has a speedy recovery!

So Rabie your one of the geeks who goes on the Chris Moyles chatroom! :7 I never go on the chat room because its always so busy although once I tried to get on when the team was looking on the chat room but I was to late.I agree with you that sometimes he does go to far, some of the things he says to the callers is very funny yet inappropriate I amazed that the BBC put up with it.
