[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-03-02 AT 09:44 PM (GMT)]The finance industry in the channel islands is a joke i admit Mongu.Every time i walk around St.Peter Port i am amazed at the number of new finance buisness that is moving in.St.Helier in Jersey in even worse!I don’t no much about off shore finance centres but all i know is that it is full of criminal activity andits ruining the true beauty and character of the channel Islands.
Anyway i really don’t see how you can say the IOM in way ahead of GCI and JER based on those two facts.Me and you Mongu are very fortunate to live on such beautiful islands where we don’t exactley see the rubbish that occurs on the mainland with crime,public services,pollution ect.So i do not think that saying that the IOM is way ahead of the C.I is a well thought out statmement,do you?

Unfortunately its unlikely that i m am going to Cyprus now,trouble is that we find tht the hotels are not what we are looking for,they re ever to big or not exactley the quality we are looking for.So we are looking at Menorca,Croatia or Malta again for a holiday.

I agree Benair Eamon and Fiona do make a great team,but that new man Andrew something (used to be a tennis player)really annoys me!!!he thinks he knows everything!
Another advert i have come across is Malaysian airlines.

Channel Island News

*VLM will be starting there summer schedule from GCI and JER at the end of March.Flights to London City,Dusseldorf Express,Hahn,Humberside,Munich,Berlin,Rotterdam and Antwerp.

*The States of Guernsey have announced the construction of a new terminal building for completion in maybe 2005.The building will comprise of two stories and will include both an arrival hall and departure gates on the ground floor.

*A programme of charter flights will operate direct from Guernsey to the Costa Del Sol in if successful in the Spring of 2002.

*Air Waled are to operate flights between Jersey and Swansea.

*Tyrolean are to operate CRJ-200 charters between Jersey and Vienna for the summer season.

*Alderney airline Air-X Ltd went to the french government last week to ask for permission to start there flights to Cherbourg which cannot be started until the no fly zones are lifted from around the Cap De La Hague nucleur power plant as the zone includes Cherbourg airport.

When i went to Tunisia i had three injections in a row!i think i had a yellow fever injection in my arm which didn’t hurt that much 🙂

Great pic,passengers must of been scared stiff on landings like that (i hope there are passengers onboard this time and its not another cargo aircraft!)

Hmmmm i doubt h is that rich,but for anyone interested yahoo has (or had)a competition on in which you could win a trip on Concorde (7 to give away)its unlikely you would win but its worth a try.

T5,i saw that AA one this morning on GMTV,theres nothing wrong with watching it!
Over here we have adverts for British European called ‘Plane common sense’totaly directed at buisness travelers,and Aurigny who advertise short breaks in France and the other islands.I remember the Air Canada adverts and also a couple of months ago United Airlines were sponsoring some ITV progam.There are actually some good airline adverts around.
