RE: aviation in Cyprus for spotters
Hmmm yes Saab 2000 gets chucked into a Cypriot jail accused of spying on the Cyprus Air Force for Turkey. His crime-taking aircraft pictures!!!
Seriously I wouldn’t be that stupid, after September 11th I know you can’t be to careful around air force bases.I am most likely going to be travelling to Paphos as the resorts we are looking at are nearer to there than they are to Laranca.
RE: Pic Of The Day-05/03/02!!

RE: 1,000 posts possibly hours away!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-03-02 AT 07:30 PM (GMT)]Thats great!A couple of months ago I was really wondering if this forum was going to survive but now it seems that at this time the forum is the most active its ever been and that it should survive well over 1,000 posts!I suggest we celebrate this occasion with a few off topics or something similar?
RE: Comets
The comets registration is G-APMB,first flew on 21st March 1959 and was delivered to BOAC on 16th April 1959. Later flew for MEA, Malaysia-Singapore Airlines and Dan Air before retired from service in May 1974.It is used,as has been said, for training purpose it is also used for testing the air bridges.I can remember seeing it while acouple of times while taxing and i thought what is that doing there?

RE: Concorde Frequencies
Couldn’t find anything about the frequencies it uses, but the route it takes to JFK is out of Heathrow towards over Bristol, down the southern coast of Ireland near Cork, across the Atlantic towards Nova Scotia then finally down to Boston area (Cape Cod)across to JFK.
You may be lucky when concorde goes down to Barbados it then flies over Cornwall, the route then is from heathrow down to Lands End,Atlantic,Azores, then finally over the Atlantic again over to Barbados.
Everyday i get to see the Air France concorde from CDG flying over Guernsey at around 4pm.Its a beautiful sight, hearig it break the sound barrier is amazing.

RE: Very much off topic : Sabena_A340
I agree with V1,this forum when i joined around a year ago was very civilised and members respected each other. The forums are not that bad now,its just a few who spoil it for the rest of us.Maybe if some people thought before they posted then we wouldn’t need to go through this again…
