RE: AMERICAN AIRLINES CRASH!!!
Another blow to New York after september 11th,people’s first thoughts when they heard of this was probably another Terrorist attack on the USA but as of yet there is know evidence to suggest it was.My thoughts lie with the families of those who have died,God bless them.

RE: CDG-A huge dissappointment!
not being anti towards other European airports,i think that there are some great airports out there,Brussels,Schiphol ect.But give me good old LGW and LHR any day.Great viewing area’s and aviation shops.A good selection of restraunts/cafes and some very good shops to pass the time.

RE: Survey
LAST EDITED ON 29-10-01 AT 08:39 PM (GMT)[p]First thing i did was the survey, before reading any of the articles.Again i gave positive comments although i would like to see more about FS reviews and i also commented on the Airlinerworld website,i think forum is great, but i think the website needes to be updated more in terms of news and they don’t really have a good selection of links ect.
Maybe they could advertise their forum a bit more! 😀

RE: “Ghost Jumbo”
The airline would be Air Atlanta iceland. It is a 747-100,i saw it a CDG in october operating on behalf on Air Algeria,it is probably been used for some charter flight for some charter airline.

RE: Regional Airliners
I agree that the BAe 146/Avro RJ are the best regional jet aircraft,as they can take off and land on very short runways, and they are enviromentally acceptable in terms of noise. Many airports such as LCY would not exist without the aircraft.
Best prop regional aircraft would have to be the Dash 8,the most successful regional aircraft in the world, with around 400 in service around the world. It is fuel efficint and is spacious.I am not a big fan of the Dash 8,travelled on one in september, very noisy inside.

RE: Mirage 2000 Scare
Its great to know that surface to air missiles and no fly zones have been estalished by the french government, how affective they are is worrying though, just last week Greenpeace manged to fly 7 cessna’s through the no fly zones at Cap de las Hague (nucleur power plant near Cherbourg.Only 40 miles from GCI)which shows that it is extremely easy to get through those no fly zones. The nucleur plant has been on red alert ever since the french government identified it as a possible terrorist target. No doubt if an aircraft crashed into it,it would kill thousands and turn everywhere around including the south coast of the UK into a nucleur waste pit, which has gives us here in the Channel islands great concern for our safety. But still its good to know that we are being protected.

RE: Concorde back from Nov. 7!
60% off trips on concorde between 10th november until the 31st january.Round trip now costs 2,999pp to JFK and back.
Very cheap indeed,Regards Saab 2000
RE: Concorde back from Nov. 7!
Really good news!!!It will be great to see hear her flying over again,i really miss that sonic boom everyday at 4pm.In such a bad time for the aviation industry, its nice to get some good news.

RE: EUROCELTIC
Low fares it was everyone wants.A 20 minute trip between JER-GCI costs i think around £50 which is very expensive for such a short flight.Cheap flights will also give the Channel island tourism industry a much needed boost.
Around 10 years ago,Britannia said they would run a JER-LGW and GCI-LGW route for around £10!but the states of jersey refused their application.
