The 764 can be seen as a bit of a flop but generally it has done its job. It was developed at the request of Delta and Continental only and so was really just a customers order that was made avaliable to other airlines.
There are a few potential orders from older 767 operators so I doubt the aircraft in the end will be a total failure.
Thank you. I appreciate your replies.
Generally I knew Continental were losing money (who isn’t  ), but weighed up against AA and UAL it is in a much better position. It has twice before been through Chapter 11 so it must be in one of the better postions in the US considering it had been through the process of re-structuring before.
How are Delta and Northwest?
Yes Hand, I can even see La Manche on a clear day but still there is naturally a huge British influence on the island. In a way I feel sorry how we have lost contact with our French neighbours when they have played such a large role in our history. But yes I am getting closer though it might as well still be a million miles a way 😉

I believe some of those A320s are still lying around at Melbourne though I know very little about their current status.
“It is nice to see small independent airlines making a go of things “
Comet, I totally agree with you. More emphasis should be put on the independent domestic carriers like Flybe., Eastern and Air Wales. They provide a very valuable service, which is reliable and regional, orientated so you can be dependent on them. Sadly in the days of low cost we seem to be loosing these impeccable airlines that were such a joy to fly. Says something about the UK aviation scene….
I would very much like to move to France in later years. I love the family emphasis and the relaxed culture that is unique to France.

Frank,
They do still have those same old Swissair management and look what they’ve done, built out of Crossair it is now returning to old Swissair ways. The Swiss management is just not logical thinkers and the airline will pay. As I have said and I will reiterate, they need to slim down.
Air Algerie
To be honest it is quite a surprise that Air Algerie would choose Airbus aircraft considering the Boeing fleet they already operate. Would seem to suggest political pressure?
Well considering the future of an airline is at stake, is nobody interested?
Very nice pictures 🙂
Horizon always offers a good balanced view so it should be interesting compared to some of these other documentaries.
Thanks for clearing that up Keltic. Zaragoza just seemed an unlikely destination from Frankfurt.
Considering the infrastructure around the area I think it will be a success. Just the minimum distance to support a flight.
Just to make the bottom clearer, Air Wales are operating Plymouth, Cardiff and Swansea to Jersey at a weekend.
