Quite amazing news from JetBlue in such a turbulent market.

Milan would probably fill a 146 like most of the Flybe. SOU routes. Proving very popular bookings outstriped. Look at the new expansion already (Ibiza, Bergarac, Murcia etc)

That “shack” is a disgrace to tourism on the island. Hardly adequate anymore considering you have Aurigny and Le Cocqs.

I will give GCI and JER a good word. GCI is quaint (new terminal on the way) quiet yet friendly, good viewing as well. JER is very modern and large yet remains of quite a high standard with good facilities and a mantains a very spacious atmosphere. http://www.bbc.co.uk/jersey/travel/images/jersey_airport_270.jpg

The 146s were of National Jet Italia. Newquay is actually doing very well for Ryanair with a flight to Dublin and an extra daily flight from Stansted being added. Ryanair has obviously helped the SW tourism and with it now being such a popular place with the costal town of Newquay and the Eden project it is going to be a place to watch for expansion. I suspect Exeter could be into some new Flybe. treatment as well.

Thanks for the message A330. I thought it was cutting it fine with ERJ 135 certifcation very close to the start date.

Because when an airport relies so heavily on an airline they will do anything. Think about it, Blackpool gets a proper service for once, the airport wants to promote it and to keep it. It is the same over here in Guernsey. Flybe. have such an advertising campaign over here, a real strong hold through its media publishings.

Yes it was, thank you once again. I was expecting just something simple but that was very informative.

Ah well I must be wrong. Just though I had heard the launch time had been pushed back.

I will add to CDG. Ageing and ugly. T1 was absolutely awful with a very crowded check in area. You think of shops, restaurants etc at major airports, they aren’t even a word at CDG! The line to security is just one large swirl of corridors and walkways and the arrival hall is dark and complicated. The outside area where the lifts go from the carousels to the arrival hall is tedious and very dirty. The departure area has no shops of any interest, I was looking forward to buying a nice model or something and having a croissant-there was nothing! I ended up at a very expensive café on the top floor where the business lounges are. The satellites are also full of old seating and give little flight details. I thought there may be a shop or something but no nothing. Worst of all I got caught by a taxi tout. Though I did like the variety of airlines there.

CDG T2 was a bit better from what I remember of it (a long time ago). I should probably also add Barbados airport to the list, literally was a building site.

    alwaysalert2,
I’m at Izmir in the summer though lucky enough I don’t have to get off the aircraft. Just a security stop before flying off to Northern Cyprus.

I know there is a bit of a dilemma with the CRJs, personally I cannot understand what is happening there. Nevertheless, the CRJs have served their purpose though they are not economically sound. They only had 4 for a start so they were hard to maintain plus there were not routes that suited the aircraft except longer European routes like Toulouse where they could money. They were also not suitable for the AF codeshare because they could not operate any aircraft on the routes that AF operated therefore the CRJ was out of the window.
The CRJ 700/900 is probably better because:
1- It is not operated by AF
2- Flybe. fly more routes to continental Europe.
3-Any order would be in a large number compared to the -200
    4-Better economics on the -700/900?

Thank you for the replies. I understood about the islands, as I know I live in The Channel Islands likewise with The Solomon Islands and The Marshall Islands etc. But the countries are due to their geographical features. Just a case of the definite article it would seem.
    Thanks, it is appreciated.

It is a 146 I believe. Could see one or two charters depending on the day you go.
