Lisbon Portela.
Rumour suggested the CRJs were going to Sahara Air in India, I even asked Kabir who said that it was the rumour too, however, I think that they are in a trade in with Bombardair for all the aircraft. Anyway, the CRJs were nothing but problems for the airline, bit of a bad mistake.
But the capacity, the Q400 has a higher capacity than the 200/300, if you can’t fill the seats on those aircraft then it would be uneconomical to operate the Q400 on unprofitable routes when they could be on higher capacity routes out of SOU or BHX. Flybe. have admitted it even saying routes from the C.I might have to be doubled up if they are not filling up and with routes under review constantly it would be likely that some are discontinued considering Flybe have a habit of switiching schedules.
Mongu,
The business class was a joke, I agree. I have travelled GCI-LGW a few times in it and I do not now see the point of paying for it. The seats were the same though they said that they have “cut out the middle man”. Food was bad plus unnecessary on such a short flight. They also have three different types of class, economy, premier, business (whatever they are named) yet they are low cost? Hmm.
I think they serve tea/coffee/orange plus a croissant although this I think stopped in October. All the soft drinks used to be free, however, alcohol was grossly over priced. I think you must pay for everything now.
So Argentinas are not operating the MD-80 into LGW anymore? Shame.
Luke,
Trouble is with an all Q400 fleet some of the lesser capacity routes will have to be cut and Exeter would probably be in that category.
The Q400 is an excellent aircraft for the airline. Low operating costs and for Flybejust the right size for its market. Southampton by the way is doing excellent with seat sales way way above target and new destinations being added. It was great initiative to establish in such a place. However, I still find it hard to the airline as “low cost”
I enjoyed Air Malta also. Crew were very good especially.
The German regulations with regards to Swiss aircraft using their airspace is ridiculous. It is total discrimination.

Yep currently Dragonair is struggling….but it wont be for long according to reports.
Kabir,
I would like to believe that but from what I have heard Dragonair are in a very bad way with SARS and even before. I am doubting their future will be bright. Could you elaborate on what you meant about them not struggling for much longer? Thanks.
No problemo Wysiwyg. Are subcharters common?
I wouldn’t be that enthusiastic about their management. They are not logical thinkers.
A330Crazy,
In the end I only received one small egg, which is enough for me because I am not your greatest chocolate eater and of course I am on an eternal diet (hah). In the end one is just enough to snack on. Normally I find you wish you had more (e.g. the 5 or 6 I normally get for some absurd reason) but two weeks later when there are still eggs not opened you start to wonder why the hell you got so many. To be honest I am quite contempt with just one egg. Anyway, I enjoyed my Easter.

Then v quick you will get—>Red Comet.
Dragonair stop whining? Hah, no way. They complained it violates the Chinese law with regards to domestic operations and also that it would be uneconomical as it clashes with Drangonair’s route.
However, Dragonair are not in a very good position at the moment so what will happen is anyone’s guess.
