Air Jamaica Express operate the Twin Otter, Shorts 360 and the Dornier 228.

That Islander was down here with Le Cocqs a while back. Airline is expanding so quickly that it is taking whatever aircraft it can get its hands on.

Citiexpress is a disgrace. The airlines like BRAL,Manx and Brymon were running a successful and lucrative business with a regional outlook, for example, Manx knew what is what doing in the IOM with regional costs, aircraft and destinations. They offered a good service with reliability and the region at heart.
Then BA came along and well, ruined them. They cut destinations, aircraft, and jobs and made a once successful group of franchises into a loss-making airline.
Ok, it may have diluted the BA brand a bit but at least they knew where they were going.

I know, it is the same with the Trislanders, though I have heard a few bad reports about the Beech aircraft.
Why would EuroManx want to become a BA franchise? Just going round in circles and is contrary to what BA has done already, streamlined most of the domestic into Citiexpress. One has to wonder what is going on

Yup, and the lack of support. With BA’s current position economics had to prevail.
Although I have stuck up for Branson, I think he would be a fool to get the aircraft and he knows it. He says he could make it profitable, yeah sure

There was a section about spotting at Heathrow in the new ALW magazine.

I used to have a Cessna type aircraft from the German Toy Company Playmobil. Used to be able to give the aircraft gas, put luggage in a compartment and place to figures in the aircraft. What memories I have of that. Sadly, years after I put the toys in the attic, I noticed while in a toy shop that they had bought out a large passenger aircraft with airport terminal, after so many years of wishing for one 😔
Today I only collect models of which I have a fair few.

Would be better than those Beech aircraft if it did come about. Seems like they would seek some sort of growth similar to that of Air Wales.

I doubt CX will ground their fleet. Probably will take the higher capacity aircraft out of its fleet to minimise expenditure and preserve any finance.
It sad that this had happened, but if it comes to grounding the fleet then it is best so that the airline can maintain its own survival.
How are other Asian airlines doing at the moment? None seem to be as hard hit as CX but still they nust not be in a good position?

Prefer the black scheme. I have seen this scheme on BAe 146, ATR, Shorts 360 and 737 abd to be honest I don’t like it!

I had some problems with Justplanes/World Air Routes with the old VHS videos at Christmas. I ordered Cuba and Heathrow videos yet did not realise that because they were sourcing them out they only had videos that worked on American systems left, not PAL. Stupid me, the video got eaten 😔
The Aurigny DVD looks good, when I get a DVD player I must order it.

Reinitiating my earlier point, the publicity stunts are all part of the Virgin brand. Richard Branson has made so many successful businesses out of his crazy ideas and in turn has become a world-recognised entrepreneur. Branson doesn’t believe in doing things the conventional way, it’s the funny way that counts. This has lead to a well-regarded fun loving, distinctive and highly innovative brand renowned for its friendliness, intelligence and integrity.

Branson once described Virgin as “A brand name that is known internationally for innovation, quality and a sense of fun —this is what we have always aspired to with Virginā€
The publicity is all part of the act and makes his company innovative and outrageous yet at the same time popular. His unconventional stunts do a lot of good for his companies. Branson has dared to do things that others regarded as impossible. Therefore, saying Branson should be ā€œmaintaining a high profile with sophisticationā€ is nonsense. He has never done it and will never do it.

Why should he follow traditional methods of conducting business? He relies on instinct and nothing else. Branson’s unique entrepreneurial and leadership style allow him to manage diverse businesses without prior expertise in any one of them and yet he has created many profitable companies.

Richard Branson is different, never can he be described as a traditional CEO, if he had been then what would Virgin be today? He has dared to do things that others find impossible yet has come out on top. Look at Herbert Kelleher, just like Branson, and look at Southwest today.
