RE: What ‘planes are stored at your neares big airport ?
At GCI there are a few stored Trislanders plus a Dart Herald and a Bandeirante for fire training. There are a few light aircraft though I cannot think of them off the top of my head.
RE: Forum upgrade
Sorry to linger on the small details but will it be a completely new rating system or will we retain our old ratings? Also does the new forum type have any new features or lack any that we are used to on dcforum?

RE: Your nearest BIG airport?
Yeah same as Mongu. Closest is London Gatwick at around 127 miles north east of me. Not the most convenient airport to fly to but it’s the only major international airport in just over a hundred-mile radius. Hopefully when Southampton gets a bit busier with European flights, it will be the easiest hub type airport for me to use.
RE: Low Cost Airlines
Aurigny technically is not a low cost carrier, however, it does offer low fares.
From Alderney to: Guernsey, Jersey, and Southampton
From Guernsey to: Manchester, East Midlands, Bristol, Stansted, Dinard, Jersey, and Alderney
From Jersey to: Dinard, Guernsey, Alderney, and Stansted (via Guernsey)
Le Cocqs airlink (who have branded themselves low cost) fly
Alderney to: Bournemouth and Jersey
Guernsey to: Bournemouth
Jersey to: Alderney and Bournemouth
If you need frequencies I can easily get them.
RE: Flight report???????
Interesting report…
I travelled Air Malta, however, I travelled Air 2000 last year and they were of average quality in the charter market.
I agree Luqa airport itself is small, with a few shops and café. The airport is really busy in the winter with few airlines as you commented.
The buses were amazing! So old and full of character. I stayed in Le Meridean Phoencia infront of the bus station and so from our room you could see the hustle and bustle of the station. What did you think of Valletta?
I agree with you with regards to Malta. It seems as if all the buildings are falling apart and the roads are a nightmare! Yet it seems a relitively rich country. I think a large factor in this, however, is the lack of rain. It seems as if everything is in a constant drought especially visable on the terrain. Contrary to this I did find Malta a beautiful place with a lot of charm and history.

RE: AirlinerWorld March 2003
Yup the 146 and the Q400. I have been down to Malaga on a 146 and it ain’t that bad. Buzz pulling out of BOU is quite good for Flybe, now they can have a much larger catchement area.
RE: Lufthansa 747 in the new S/A colours….horrid!
Oh that is awful, just plain silly.
RE: Airliner World 2010
Ok thanks for the information.
Just another airline that has intrigued me,Aerolineas Argentina. From the mentions of it so far it seems to suggest it is doomed yet I am sceptical about it. I am drawn to think that it will not survive because of its long loss making history and with the state of the South American economy especially in its home country Argentina, it seems that bankruptcy would be inevitable . But then again was it not the only airline in South America to make a profit last year? Also their strategy especially in Europe interests me. I think that they are seriously planning for the future and have improved their efficiency overall compared to the days before they went bankrupt and with aircraft orders and also further expansion it seems to me that maybe we should not just shrug this carrier off as a definite failure.
RE: Be Happy!!!!!!!!!
Well I am off skiing in Andorra on Friday. My major holiday this year is North Cyprus, however, I am staying in Istanbul first for a few days. Other than this I might go to London and on a few spotting trips as I want to try out a few aircraft. Probably going to France as well though nothing planned…

RE: PIA PIC
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-02-03 AT 08:11 PM (GMT)]Yes, a nice shot. The design on the is actually quite complex and decieving to the eye as really it does blend in with the green.
If my memory serves me correct the PIA flights to Manchester carry on to Toronto from Islamabad or Karachi, or was it dropped for CPH?
