RE: KLM sells BUZZ to Ryanair

Oh those nice central locations will all disappear! Frankfurt to Hahn, CDG to Beauvais. It is going to be interested to see what will happen to the route network!

Mongu, oneworld is far too sophisticated to need any sort of prominent alliance promotion :7

    RE: Ultimate holiday ?

Tahiti, the South Pacific islands. Just heaven on earth. Also a trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-01-03 AT 08:27 PM (GMT)]Aer Lingus only charges for a snack on UK routes I think? Most airlines sadly charge for drinks now. It makes no difference if they are alcohol or soft.

Reims and Pau seem good, popular destinations. Reims has that very nice cathedral and nice historical buildings, an obvious pull factor for tourism. Pau is quite good for the Pyrénéses and also Lourdes.

Yes everything on Iceland is expensive. As it is an island with very unworkable land and poor conditions a lot of the goods have to be imported, thus pushing the price up.

With Iceland Express, if GO could not make a profit on the Reykjavik route, then one could not imagine an Icelandic airline doing much better. However, best of luck to them…although I do get the impression many of these Euro Locos will end up in tears. But hey, I could be wrong.

Too simple and I think too ordinary to actually promote the alliance like their current livery, which it is prominent.

The Star Alliance titles are in such a thin font that the windows interfere with the letters, plus the logo is in a strange position. Perhaps a little more enthusiasm could have been exercised?

I have seen a few very dodgy crosswind landings. Some of those pictures look really frightful, glad i’m not one of the passengers!
Anyway nice pictures…Kabir I have also seen that TAP A321 video.

    RE: Travel To Northern Cyprus

It is quite cheap and good value. The hotel we are staying for 5 people is just under £670 for 14 nights. You can get under that at around £400 or even lower if you go for a villa. For food and drink, an ice cream is around 20p with a beer at 50p.
According to what I have read you can see the Turkish coast so I will let you know if this is true :7 Also thanks for offering me help with Turkish phrases. If there is anything baffles me then I will email you, however, I usually do just grasp the basics with enough to get me by!

    RE: British European BHX-BRU

Flybe. were offering GCI-LGW for around £50 for their special Jubilee offers, which I took advantage of. Also their GCI-SOU was around £49 plus you can now connect on to the European flights, which is a bonus.
Flybe. definitely do provide some quite good offers so it is wise to grab them.
Personally I would fly on BE to BRU. Much cheaper, good and reliable airline, plus a nice ham and cheese croissant (or have they scrapped them, since they went low cost?)

RE: Ryanair Opens another European Base – Stockholm Skavsta !!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-01-03 AT 08:38 PM (GMT)]Three of those destinations seem to me highly irregular. Other airlines have tried similar routes and have not made a success of them so have been forced to pull out of them. Although with Ryanair, if the price is low enough then who knows what could happen?
