    RE: Report!

I have done a few regional reports especially on the GCI-LGW route. I could do GCI-JER flights but then again what can happen on a 20 minute Trislander flight? :7

Anyway, great report! Can’t really comment on BA lowering their standards, as my normal service is normally a drink and some pretzels on their small ATR72s. However, what I like now is that I have the choice of travelling to the North or South terminal depending on connecting flights. Both BA and BE use different terminals now on the GCI flights. Why did BA use the south terminal in the first place?

I prefer the North terminal because it is less busy once you have had the early long haul departures whereas the South is continuously busy. The North is also brighter and has a better less shoddy shops.

The train station is dire. The platforms are crippled with people and the quality of the area is appalling. The Gatwick Express is good, but in July I had to take Connex (I think?) to London Bridge Station and I can say I will never be travelling on them again, just awful.

RE: southampton take 2 (might be a bit slow)

The Aurigny is going to Alderney, the Dash 8 to Jersey, the Dornier to Amsterdam and the ERJ to probably some regional destination in the UK.

RE: MyTravel Lite Summer 2003 Expansion !!!

The destinations mentioned are somewhat typically Low Cost; there are no tremendous surprises. They are evidently meant to attract your average holidaymaker looking for the Spanish sun and who want to be more adventurous by booking their flights and accommodation independently, consequently saving a considerable amount of money.

Knock is a reasonably peculiar destination, though with the increasing popularity of Ireland as a tourist destination, I am sure it will be a lucrative route.

RE: New airline, and Apple Vaccations has already nicked a 757 from thomas cook!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-12-02 AT 07:29 PM (GMT)]The An-140 is another one of those aircraft, which if marketed in Western Europe could do rather well. However, a result of poor efficiency and financing in the Former USSR aviation industry, this aircraft will not be bought by airlines in large quantities by many Eastern European operators and no Western European airlines. Such a shame, a beautiful aircraft just like the TU-204.

    RE: Goodjet in trouble

The AW curse strikes again! Goodjet on the November issue,Delsey on the December. I think it should be Badjet now rather than Goodjet!

They are hoping to be back up flying by Monday with a new aircraft operator.
