When I flew on one, I thought that it was a wonderful and innovative use of space aboard the aircraft. Presumably the bean counters don’t think so, as it eliminates some seating and hold area ?

I”m developing more of an interest in Soviet types for some reason, I suppose it’s because they look so unique, and western types now look so similar ?

It would be nice to foster more discussions about them whilst they are still flying and before they get replaced by the newer westernised designs and indeed western types themselves as witnessed at Aeroflot and Balkan to name but a couple.

It strikes me Soviet aviation is a little like british and european aviation was in the seventies, with the emergence of more open markets and western/USA types inflitrating the once proud indigenous aviation industries of the UK and elsewhere.
