More nostalgia pop pickers… It was actually 1990 I saw this gig and not ’91 as I remembered. Aged 19 going on 20 at the time and working in an Iceland freezer shop.

Nah it’s all on the one CD and on the cover they’ve added “Come on Pilgrim discreetly below the Surfer Rosa title. It’s been getting released that way for several years now. Just makes the original Come On Pilgrim album more collectable I suppose.

The original demos’s that became Come On Pilgrim are available on a new album of the legendary “Purple Tape” which was a demo recorded in 1987 to get them signed. All of the tracks and the 7 or 8 that made it onto Come On Pilgrim are included. I think it’s just called “The Pixies” but it’s reconisable by it’s purple cover.
