    Roger S,

Can I ask you how you go about making your prints, in terms of what type of printers and papers you use and would recommend ?

Do you ever use specialist papers such as canvas or embossed ?

    TIA 😉

That also amazes me. Belfast-Dublin is about the only rail route of note that operates in Ireland. I’ve driven round most of the main routes of Eire and across country. It takes ages to get anywhere, there are very few roads you can consider to be ‘A’ class let alone motorway standard. So it always surprises me to hear about internal air connections struggling to find business, especially when they are relatively low cost.

Having driven that route many times, it just amazes me why an air route can’t find enough bums to put on seats !

Any news on the supposed Glasgow-Cuba service lads ? Of all the rumours of new GLA routes, this one was sounding the most likely.

Well that was worth watching just for the footage of the prototype 707 being barrel rolled over Lake Washington! 😮

It’s to do with the comparitive pixellation when you compare it with the grain found in traditional film. I’m not sure what the ideal pixel count is but it matters if you like making prints, just as ISO film speed does in this respect, particularly when it comes to blow ups. For web work it’s more crucial to have a good piece of glass on the camera than loads of pixels. IMHO 😉

Fair point, DSLR’s will get cheaper all the time. If you read the stuff about the camera linked to above, Canon see this release as significant milestone in the shift from film to digital for the average Joe Bloggs SLR user. Looking at it I tend to agree. it should provoke a rash of similar cameras from the other main players.

All of which should mean better quality pics for us all to enjoy on here and elsewhere.
