That’s a question I often hear asked about new consumer technologies, and one you might still be asking in a year’s time. Personally if I think the time is right to buy something then I go for it. If something better or cheaper comes along later I just sell the previous item to offset the cost of the newer product.;)

I toyed with the notion at school for a while and then realised my non technical mind (couldn’t stand Maths or Physics) would do me no good. 😀 Decided to pursue more creative pursuits, working in TV now and for past ten years. My only piloting comes courtesy of flight sim games, and hey… I don’t even do those correctly.

Good luck with the GCSE’s just watched some kids open their results live on TV. The one with the most A’s was also interestingly the one who manged to open the envelope first time.

Sounds like an interesting airport, I’d like to go and see some east european aviation at first hand myself. 😉

I saw some bizzare seaplane over Inverness last year. I’ve no idea what it was but it looked like it had been dismantled and put together the wrong way.

Most unusual that I can identify ? probably not civil but military perhaps the US Army Bronco ?

    Very nice pics,

I particularly like the Iran Air shot, not something you tend to see in Glasgow. Amsterdam looks great as ever for photo opportunities. I’ll definitely make a point of visiting some time in the not too distant future after my Heathrow trip in September.

Just under £1300 in the UK for the body only. I already have some Canon EF lenses. As DSLR prices go, it’s a good one and representative of prices coming down within the digital world.
