Have a good one and find an internet cafe for the Man Meet report.:D
Yes, a very good job well done. Great to be back !
I would have mailed everyone by now were it not for the hackers.
I haven’t checked PM’s to see if they still exist, so if anyone who’s coming wants to re PM or mail me with their mobile and flight/arrival details for the list I’ll get it out in the next day or two.
Cheers
Ren
Update: I’ve got 4 PM’s and 1 e-mail ffrom attendees with their contact info. That’s EGNM, Matthew Murray, Selsport 69, Jay 330 (Landside) and Dan 330. Add me it makes 6.
If anyone else wants to PM or e-mail me their mobile number and arrival time for the list, then please do it today or ASAP and I’ll e-mail it out to all concerned pronto.
Shame we were off all week or I could have claimed a world exclusive posting of this pic I took of the first Zoom visit to GLA. I think I even beat the A.net boys to it as they still don’t have one of C-GZUM at Glasgow on the site yet. 😀
It arrives once a week on a Monday at around 1255 or so.
I echo the above, nice to be back and just ignore the hackers they crave attention.

The offer on BA.com is a competition, but only if you have bought a club ticket.
There is that contest, but they still mention the public ticket giveaway next month right at the start of the ‘celebrating concorde’ page.
I also note from the article they are considering donating a Concorde to the USS Interpid carrier on the Hudson river in New York.
I’d love to see that arrival (lol) :p

How bloody Lazy are BA???!!!???!?!?!?!? They sent me an email back saying that they hadn’t a clue what I was talking about and to contact my local travel agent about it?! 😡
Surprising really since there’s a whole page on BA.COM about it.

The aircraft isn’t new is it?The caption with the photographs says it is ex G-???? etc etc and there’s a quite a few previous registrations.
So it does, in the caption for the third piccie. G-BRJF formerly of Air Europe in the UK before being transferred to Italy.
Can’t help thinking during a crash or emergency landing, that how I brace myself or which style of seatbelt I’ve got might be low on my list of priorities ?
Reminds me of a another typical pub style conversation where a friend wondered why they often tell you the temperature outside the aircraft ?
I think his response was along the lines of ” If I ever find myself outside of the aircraft then the last thing I’ll be worrying about is the fact it’s a bit nippy” ! 😀
Great shots !
Did AF Concorde ever formate with the Patrouille de France ?
Maybe we should arrange another airport meet up for Dublin after the MAN meet ?
(lol) it was actually hurtling overhead at quite a rate en route to another patrol over the Firth of Clyde having just left it’s base at Prestwick (Gannet). Amazing the power of a fast shutter speed ! 😀
Personally I hope they do come out of the franchise, I asked some guys on the GLA spotters group website about it and I was told the franchise had been extended ’til 2008.
Time will tell I suppose ?
What’s the URL to Jethro’s BTW ?
Another nice looking 757 there Andrew.
Is it brand new or ex USA airline origin ?
Of course if the 747 captain worked for an airline, left that airline to fly 767’s for the airline in this scenario, he would have to accept whatever that airline’s rate was.
Why he would chose to do this would be another matter, especially if it were for less than he got before. I don’t know if some airlines pay more to pilots in smaller jets than others in other lines flying bigger jets.
Any comments from the flying guys ?
