Just wondering where the projector would have gone, not to mention the Hammond organist at the interval (lol) 😀

The BBC pays an annual blanket agreement for all copyrighted, musical and published works to the appropriate bodies. I can’t speak for other broadcasters though.

They’re keeping the East Midlands route though “To keep up the competition with Easyjet”

I blame BAA for all this, they say it’s to fund future investment in the airport, but they invest in all their airports yet Glasgow seems to funding BAA’s investment plans the most. Figures were published recently comparing the landing costs for a typical 737 sized aircraft around the UK and even amongst BAA sites, GLA was one of the most expensive.

    Why, why, why BAA ???

Presumably talk of the Scottish Executive putting money into their coffers to lower landing rates and attract more business has something to do with it ?

At least it’s not like a delayed DC-3 flight my dad took when he was 17.

The technical delay was solved by a man in a flat cap and overalls cycling out to the runway with his toolbag and giving a troublesome engine a good thump with a large shifting spanner !

Ah those were the days !

Looking at the Air Atlantique picture… does the big rear cargo door in fact make it a C-47 or does that prefix only apply in military guise ?

I love DC-3’s, cheers for the pics. The closest I’ll get to posting a pic is if I take one of the 1/48th scale Lufthansa model I’ve got in the spare room ! 😀

I don’t unfortunately, but if I hear of any scrapping activity going on, be it with the Belfast, 747 or these rumoured Ryan/Easy 737’s then I’ll be straight down the A77 with my camera.

lol, you should always trust a camera crew but never ever in your life trust a producer or director. They’ll sell their grandma to get what they want 😀

I hereby promise to all pilots in this forum that if I’m making the film you most certainly will feature in it!!!

Apparently it broke in two on impact and caught fire very quickly.
