Still a great looking pic Moondance. You must miss making those island hops despite the relatively poor salary ?

I think I’ll write a nice letter to Loganair and see if they won’t let me do a photo or video feature on the Glasgow to Barra service. That would be really something ?

Actually, the aircraft producer livery discussion is a bit more interesting.

Both Boeing and Airbus could do with something new. Is the livery on the 777ER as shown in the Paris Airshow pic earlier going to become commonplace ? If so I don’t rate it much.

As for Airbus house colours… they could do with coming into the 21st century as well.

I couldn’t comment on other makers house colours as I haven’t seen any. Anyone else ?

Are BA really in such a strong position as to knock back £5 million quid from anyone ?

It was as described above (F-GRJS), operating Nantes-Brest.

Have all the BA places been announced ? I thought it was still to be decided unless I’ve missed it.

Did the East Fortune Museum of Flight get a successful bid in ?

It was Brit Air, operating as an Air France franchisee.

It looked like a Canadair RJ judging from the tv footage. Brit Air operate the 100 and 600 series according to their fleet listing. From the remains of the aircraft you could make out a high tail and rear mounted engine. 22 passengers were aboard according to reports.

I think the pilot must have done really well to keep the death toll down to one, there’s not much left of the plane that’s recognisable.

Best wishes to the family of the deceased pilot.

A BMI A320 had to have a tyre/wheel change in full view of the business lounge just prior to me boarding it a couple of years ago.

It made a few of the passengers a little twitchy for some reason, mainly I suspect because of the tannoy announcement informing us of a delay to the flight owing to a “maintenance issue”

The Holiday Airport Miami special the other week had a feature on the huge Jack Rabbits that populate the airfield. A huge cull was being discussed at the time.

Keep me posted and I’ll try and get a nice sequence of shots of your 757 on arrival.
