Nice pics there, good to see some retro stuff from time to time.

My introduction to aviation came some 22 years ago when the pilot of one of these came to my primary school to give us a classroom talk about life in the skies…

Did anyone see last night’s Miami Airport special on BBC-1. It did have some nice aircraft footage including air to air, but I take Wys’s point about there being too much non aviation content.

The Miami show included feature’s on the DEA doing downtown drug busts and the “offshore” branch of Miami’s finest, busting speeding boat owners.

Also did anyone watch the Ryanair programme on BBC-2 ? I missed it, or rarther I caught the last 60 seconds or so. Was it any good, anyone got a tape ?

The views from inside Tom Bradley terminal at LAX aren’t too bad either although these shots were taken through the windows, you can see what’s going on in a couple of areas.

It’s nearer work than home really. I stay in Firhill (for thrills). Was in Bar Oz the other night though. Bar Oz, for the uninitiated is an Austrailian themed pub in Glasgow near the BBC.

I wish AW would do a feature on special paint schemes. I’d love to know which lucky paint shop gets to do them

Tony Blair seems to spend a lot of time on BA 777’s if you watch the news coverage of his travels.

Even the Royal Family like to be seen “roughing it” these days in sympathy for the travel arrangements of us commoners.

My last visit to Aldergrove was by BAe146-200. It has a typical UK regional airport feel about it in terms of what traffic you can see.

There seemed to be a lot of Easyjet activity and shuttle flights to and from London by the main players, also holiday charters.

You can also witness some RAF chopper activity and I was lucky enough to see the big Antonov 124 heavylifter take to the skies.

That must be the Beverley Hills branch delivery boy off to work.

Our local Pizza Hut sends it’s delivery guys round on the crappest mopeds ever seen. The boys in Domino’s across the road laugh their heads off as they “power” by…

My girlfriend took the Continental GLA-LAX twice last year and it was a 737-400 from Newark to LA. GLA-EWR was 757-200 first time and 767-200 next time, always a 732 EWR-LAX though.
