As far as I know she was painted up for a special charter. Some kind of specialised “off the beaten track” kind of holiday/tour. TCS Expeditions do a round the world trip which takes in the Great Barrier Reef as one of the stops. Which may explain the Brisbane sighting.

On their website they claim to have their own private 757 “maintained” by Air 2000. I reckon they just charter it though ?

If you’re interested in taking the tour, you won’t get much change out of $45,000 USD

Here is G-OOOX in Cambodia as part of the world tour.

This was my one and only DC-10 experience…

What’s that airline in your fifth picture A330 ? Have BA sued for breach of copyright ?

I think I prefer the Tristar, although I’ve never been on one. I have travelled on an Airtours DC-10 which put me off because it was too crowded, tight and no air conditioning on a hot 4 hour flight.

This beauty came into Glasgow recently carrying the Boavista squad for the Celtic Uefa Cup game.

A320… The A319 is short and stubby like a 737-200 and the A321 is long like a 757. That’s how I tell them apart anyhow ?

    Great pictures Kev,

I like the Aer Lingus 737 scheme as well. I’ve yet to clap eyes on one in the flesh so to speak. Looks like BHX is a bit busier than GLA these days.

    Cheers Kev

I really like the DC-3 pic it’s my all time favourite airliner. I used to see the Air Atlantique fleet at GLA often in the early 80’s.
