That’s a great pic, good angle and the jet over head adds a nice touch.

Know what you mean Saab, I actually though the crew had deployed reverse thrust before we hit the deck at Jersey ! (lol)

Maybe Boeing would be interested then. Unlikely I know, but they’d only have to express an interest and I’m sure Airbus would change their minds.

I’m with Branson on this one, something about this affair smells heavily of mackerel !

It’s a runway I may be visiting soon myself if the planned Lerwick Town Hall edition of Question Time goes ahead. And btw isn’t that a Hercules ? I could be wrong, always thought the Herc and Belfast looked alike ?

If I go I’ll be taking pics and reporting on here.

And EI-EWR at LAX just after we’d gotten off it after our 11 hour flight from DUB. Viewed from the Tom Bradley terminal through glass and a lamp post ! I bought a polarising filter in LA a few days later.

Here’s a couple more of mine, JMC 757 at Girona just prior to it taking me home to GLA in June 2000. I’ll miss those colours, wonder who was in the front left seat ? (lol)

I love the surrealness of the world when viewed from high above the ground. Here’s one from the highest point I’ve certainly been at.

It’s been on before but hopefully a better uncropped scan this time. I couldn’t believe how black the sky was getting as we got higher. Wish I’d found out how high up it was?

The beach landing on Barra is something everyone should experience at least once.

What about these for great Scottish approaches… This one is the short runway at Lerwick on the Shetland Isles. I think pilots generally have to try and avoid the lighthouse and harbour before lining up for final approach.

Flying into Stornoway, I’ve seen the wings of an ATP flap and flex like I’ve seen in no other approach. It’s also the only place I’ve been with “perma-wind”
