True, it was bought online though, and I’m feeling generous. The original Flight Sim I’ve had for ages and has now been claimed.

G-BIKB was the first ever BA 757 I saw on the 1st day ever of BA service on the LHR-GLA shuttle route in February 1983. I had to nip away from school at lunchtime to get a “first” look at it.

It was so ultra modern compared to the Trident it replaced, it even made the BBC news that day.

I think G-BIKA was used on the same day to inauguarate the LHR-EDI shuttle service ?

    Ah…. happy days…..:D

I wonder if we’ll see a rash of “luxury” travel airlines sprouting up to cater for the rich and famous who’ve become used to the high life on Concorde ?

If they were willing to pay thousands to travel faster, they might be willing to pay to travel in a kind of super 1st class ?

    Just a thought.

Ha ha, you’re absolutely right. Did I mention I dropped out of Physics class at an early stage ? 😀

It’s basic year one physics really… white reflects heat and black absorbs it. How many radiators do you see painted black after all ?

Still, it’s not so long since Virgin was a predominately white schemed airline. The old colours wouldn’t look so bad. Over to you Matthew Murray…:)

I work in the media Bhoy. You’re confusing “media bollocks” with journalistic bollocks. Those of us at the “better” end of the business are always being tarred with the same brush as that applied to our less diligent cousins at the “hack” end of the spectrum.:D

    I thenck yoo

Yip, I meant to say that. It was one of a batch of ex-BA 737’s when pictured, but at least one has been back to GLA since for maintenance.

This Aerolineas Argentinas was one of a batch overhauled and repainted by BA maintenance for the airline at Glasgow.

… And is it worse at the back or the front of the plane ? (The air sickness that is.)
