You’ll also find that tha vast majority of new (2 years ish) PAL VHS players can handle NTSC playback these days on UK televisions. If you still have NTSC tapes that you can’t get to play then look in the yellow pages for a conversion service. Most wedding video companies even do it these days. 😀

The majority of USA… ahem… “specialist” dvd’s are region free. Only the major movies are regionalised by the big producers to control their release around the world. That said the vast majority of DVD players are easily hackable to become region free, especially the cheapo supermarket brands, most of which will play anything without any kind of hacking at all. That’s what makes them cheap. Adding the region coding cost money.

Now now Bhoy and to think I was gonna keep you a match programme from tonight’s game ? (lol)

Seriously though, if you know the route of the old Babcocks Engineering rail line then that is currently under discussion as the most viable route for the GLA rail link. It would come out the other side of the airport and head west over the M8 at St James interchange and public playing fields to meet the Greenock/Gourock and Ayrshire main line to Prestwick Airport.

As for Love Street… It may be a Morrisions supermarket before long by all accounts. 😮

I’m sure all the Concordes will go to good homes. Anyone think they’ll be bought as a flying concern or just as museum or airshow pieces ?

Sad news but I suppose all good things must come to an end. On a negative note, us mere mortals may be forced to share trans Atlantic flights with the likes of Sting and Elton John now. Aaaaarrrgghhhhh! 😮

I wonder if there will be a series of farewell enthusiast flights available ?

Glasgow Airport is talking about introducing a £1 pick up and drop off fee for motorists visiting the airport. I think the public will vote with their feet on this one.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Virgin did try to get hold of at least a couple just to say they’d been a concorde operator for a while anyway.

I’d like to see the machine continue for a little while at least in another airline’s colours.
