    Funny you should mention scrap yards Kabir… There was a carbreakers yard in Glasgow charged with the task of disposing of a load of ex RAF Phantoms from RAF Leuchars a few years back.

    It was a most bizzare and sad sight to see an F4 sitting on top of a pile of old cars waiting to be crushed.:(

    It does look like the BMi design albeit in Gulf colours. I guess the designers have a basic catalogue to choose from which the airline then personalises with their own colours etc. A bit like football jersey manfacturers who provide a basic design in stripes, hoops or whatever which is then made up in the colours and badge of the club in question.

    Hmmm…. that’s a possibility Bhoy ? 5 mins after I posted it headed off in the direction of Glasgow Airport, don’t know if it landed there but I never saw it come back over. Presumably it went straight back to HMS Gannet after that.

    The pattern it was flying looked like they’d taken it out for a joyride and the pilot was letting his mate have a go ! (lol)
