Any further update on the potential sale or is it staying put in NZ?
ARAMAN – What has happened to the Ramon Josa Corsair that was at Legends 3-4 years ago? is it still grounded due to costs?
Also, whose Yak 3 is that?
nice on Brian!!!!
Damn shame to see it go, but i’m sure with the p47 waiting in the wings to take her place on the flightline it won’t be so badly missed. Looking forward to that!!!!
Just out of curiousity, has the centauraus engine for vx653 been rebuilt yet as the website hasn’t been updated in a wee while.
red 7 is certified to but the other 2 are not i seem to recall.
Remember next year should see the appearance of the ex CAF buchon being restored by HFL.
The really frustrating thing is that there is a perfectly good fw190 sitting at Duxford waiting to fly!!!!
One thing i think we all agree on is the banning of wind breaks, Tents and step ladders, as well as Crazy Americans who stand on the tank bank with a hubble sized camera lens shouting at anyone who gets in his way!!!
After every Duxford show, its the same old problems that service. You would hope that someone from Duxford PR dept would take note of this and put a stop to it for good. Well, we can live in hope.
In terms of a grandstand, you have to remember it works well at places like Biggin Hill as they tend to deals per car (i think a familly ticket was £45 for 2 adults and 3 kids) while legends is £30 per adult so is considerably more expensive. Makes a hell of a difference if you pay another £5 each plus flightline wlak, program etc. Couldn’t see it working i’m afaraid.
as the scousers would say,
CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN!
Just out of curiousity, how many people can Duxford hold? is it something in the region of 20000?
i was at legends on the sunday last year when they were doing engine runs and a short test flight. if i remember, the problem in the morning was the engine was flooding.
p51 ‘jumpin jacques’ seen heading north floowing the m25 over West Horndon in Essex. Lovely!!!
Can anyone confirm if the SHF A26 was airborne yesterday as i’m sure i saw it over Romford heading south. Do they base it at somewhere in the UK?
That is one beast!
it will be interesting this time next year as you may be able to add another 3-4 on the flightline, all being different variations.
Who actually owns the T.20? Is it a planes of fame job?
Rocketeer old chap, i already have….:dev2:
Thats why i don’t speak french!!!!!
I’m the typical englishman abroad, i just speak louder and point!!!
i’m not to hot on the old french but did it say that the fw190 had departed for Duxford with the spitfire XIX?
errrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm…………
the 3 b25s are:
salinah duke of brabant
grumpy ex TFC now Vulcan warbirds
Russels Raiders Ex jet alpine fighters
Certainly is a real shame that the red bull fleet aren’t scheduled, but remember there was a ‘surprise’ scheduled so who knows? Pretty diverse list, just hope that the TFC fleet are just being left off the list as a safety first option. Remember, the horsemen were originally going to bring one of their mustangs over the pond as well, so this may not be the final list.
Roll on the weekend!!!!
