Is it me, or is it whenever there is that question of what is attending Legends, it always turns into disagreements? i made that fatal error in my first year on this forum and have struggled to live it down since!!!!
One things certain, and that is the guys and gals from TFC are busting a gut to make sure everything is right to put on a fantastic show for us all.
I’ve been 6 years in a row now, and never been dissapointed.
And remember the list isn’t even out yet, so hold fire!!!!
As for the jets thing, i can’t see Mr grey allowing these in as remember, the whole idea of Legends is Pistons and Big radials.
in terms of participants, i wonder if the ‘surprise’ is the Chinese Stirling (i can’t beleive nobody has mentioned it yet!!!!)
There was talk of her returning to the BOB scheme.
Either way, 2 buchons at Dx is fine by me!!!
Looking forward to the horsemen big time. I don’t know if any of you guys have been watching the horsemen cometh on ASB TV. Really wetting the appetite.
With regards to the bradshaw fury, it would be nice to see it on the flightline. Does it ever attend displays?
Whats happening with the gladiator? is it ready to fly or is it a case of making its debut at legends 2009?
Will be nice to nice Twilight tear back. Wonderful looking plane, with a true duxford history to boot!!!
Fantastic pictures as per usual there.
Any news on Sally B?
Now get it in that crate and ship it to France!!!
So how many flyable sea furies are there in europe now?
RNHF X2 (if you take into count VR930)
john Bradshaws G-CBEL
French Based F-AZXL
TFC T.20 WG655
Jacquard example (currently N56SF)
is there anything i’ve missed?
if we are talking about ‘Ballast’, then that would make me the No.1 Candidate!!!:D
Quite frankly i couldn’t give a monkeys about the serial.
We’ve got a new sea fury (proper one with a centauraus) on the uk display circuit, and with all the problems the RNHF have had with theirs, and its more than welcome.
The man who has put his hand in his pocket has done so because he likes the plane and it has been superbly restored.
And there are a further 2 under way.
Just be bloody greatful!!!!
Very nice indeed.
Did you get any pics of the P47 Brian?
they should form a team with Rob Davies. Now that would be some sight!!!!
yeah thats what i thought – was for a special in aeroplane magazine if i’m correct.
AR213 is without doubt one of my favourite warbirds on the circuit. I was blown away at DX last year when i saw it.
is there any further update or is it still planned to be grounded for 2009?
Hope its only a glitch. Saw a photo over on planetalk with a little trail coming out of its new engine. Hopefully something needs a little fine tuning.:(
I went yesterday, and i have to say, the best southend airshow for years!!! Highlights for me were PT in Jumpin Jacques (Truely superb!!), BBMF and an absolutely awesome display by the reds.
And yes i do now look like lobster boy!!!!
Nice photos by the way. Realy struggled with mine due to the bright sunshine.
Well although i agree its not unique, i think the prospect of getting a 2nd uk airworthy lanc flying isn’t something to be sniffed at. i wonder if peter jackson has had any contact with the pantons with regards to filming at East Kirby?
Anyway Moggy, don’t you work!!!!!!!!!
Concur with the Vulcan, give it a couple of months for another appeal:rolleyes:
