well thats great news for all concerned. Coincedently the arco website has been updated (including pics of the mark 1 blenheim nose – well done smudge!).
i would assume the d model will have to be stripped down similar to the a model.
have the guys from Arco got the b25 running again yet? And the swordfish is down as appearing. has that flown yet?
looked like the spit ftd mk xviii. it flew over Basildon Asda (where i was standing in the yard) at about 1000ft. clear blue skies as well!! i was like a little school kid when it came over!!!
well its certainly looking like a good airshow to me. Don’t you just know its going to **** it down, then the sun will come out sunday evening as everyone is leaving!!!
Well i hope not anyway……
are arco giving it the once over before crossing the pond or is it actually staying in the uk?
Hi Everyone,
Just a brief not to say that Hardwick warbirds has been updated with pictures of Marinell and her process so far!
More updates to come.
Enjoy.
wow!!! its looking amazing! Another p51 for the display circuit next year can’t be a bad thing! Will Mr Hammond be displaying them as a pair(obviouslly not on his own!!).
think i saw the spit ltd me 109 (buchon) making a break for duxford in between the heavy showersat about 7pm last night as i was hurtling down the a13 to lakeside.
I beleive the P47 fuselage is due back this month as well. My word, they are gonna have thier hands full!!!
i e-mail duxford and ask them them to start demolishing them then………
then there’s the small issue of the biggest aviation museam in europe to look at. its not just about whats flying with duxford!!!
well, it can’t be too long now!
spitfire over horndon on the hill
Saw a spitfire heading north / north east over horndon-on-the-hill essex on the way to my mums house. I suppose favourites are either the Kent spit or PT in his pr xi. nice to see in the early evening sunshine.
any news on how bad the damage is? will we see red 7 again in the air this year?
Lets hope so
hopefully it will be back before the end of the airshow season, but who knows?
Its a shame that nobody wants to do the same for the Blenheim. after 2 months all the remaining money would have been found. Can’t the Blenheim soceity do something similar or maybe duxford adds a pound to its airshows this year that goes directly to the Blenheim fund. i would gladly pay the extra £1 knowing it goes directly to a plane which has more chance of a sustained flying career.
