I arrived into Glasgow this morning at 4am, 9 hours late and I have never seen so many police in all my life.

As you come trough the doors into the public area of international arrivals there is a bad small of burning and cleaning meterials. Once you come out the terminal police tape takes you away from the airport and over to the older multi-story car park which is currently open for free for picking-up and dropping-off.

Does anyone know how much damaged has been caused? When it will be repared etc? The check-in area seemed to be fully open again.

In fact, can anyone name a large U.S. carrier that has ever ordered/operated large numbers of Airbus widebodies and not gone out of business?

There is no 4 seat section on FCA, both premium and economy are 2-3-2.

Interesting Peter. Is the Dubrovnik started service at GLA ? If not why was it in ?

    Thanks

    Jamie M

They operate to Dubrovnik every summer, started in Summer 2005.

Aer Lingus commercial director Enda Corneille said it was still weighing up the options for its new base, with Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester still in the mix, alongside Belfast City Airport and Belfast International Airport.

Book a flight-only with a charter company and more often than not, you are paying way more than you would with a scheduled airline.

From memory, last week I was looking for flight only to Cancun, Mexico from Glasgow. Continental Airlines via New York were cheapest, ThomsonFly were dearest of the all airlines, including three charter airlines going direct.

Have you not heard the expression.. “you only get what you pay for”

If that was the case with ThomsonFly you should be getting a better service than Virgin or Emirates offer.
