And hopefully this year i’ll be adding a few Emirates ones to that list, the 777-300/ER and the A380 as i’ll be using them to make my way down south to Cape Town.
Yep – sucks doesn’t it – just got back myself and with no pictures! 🙁
The one parked where the concorde used to be parked is now in new reg – VP-BXN (former G-GFFF). Rudder missing and both engine are currenly taped over.
G-GFFF also in at LHR Apparently. 🙂
I think i must be the only one who doesn’t like it. Much prefer the job Gulf Air did on the A330.
Some excellent shots Danny, albeit in what looks like sub zero temps! Brave man! 🙂
Loving the virgin shot and the Saudi is a Beaut too! A great catch on the Hamburg special too! Nice work!
Yeah I’m eager to see the others too, after reading your FB status! You sound like you had an excellent day out with some great traffic for a change! 🙂 Lucky!
Great shots so far anyhow mate! 🙂
Nice shooting Miss A! 🙂
Lovely gulf air shot.
Very nice topsides!
Shame to see that DC-8 like that… gets worse and worse every time I see it. 🙁
Bagged yourself some rather nice movements there! Nice to Swiss using an A330 again into LHR too!
Nothing bland about any of them!!! All look tip top to me. Superb clarity and a great selection.
Love the Virgin rotation shot!
Love the 757 shots make – clarity is superb!
When you posting your LHR snaps? 🙂
Ta for the comments guys. 🙂
Paul… it came back due to a suspected fire in the forward cargo hold. It closed the airport to all traffic for around 40 mins. They later opened the other runway to smaller aircraft – nothing bigger than a 737 could use. A TCX A321 was stuck on the ground for over 2 hours because of the runway closure.
It was later reported that there was no fire, just a faulty light in the cockpit – the flight departed later in the day around half 6 – over 4 hours late.
28th Oct and back at the airport. Today a Lufthansa A300 took off and 20 minutes later radioed up and declared an emergency due to a suspected fire in the cargo hold – 20 mins later it was back on the ground. Fair to say it attracted a lot of attenetion, even from local media – some of which approached me for use of photos!

Off she goes…

Back again…

And the local Channel One News team…

Hope you liked!
Great shooting mate and in some lovely sun!
Hope Sky Europe are still trading next month, as im flying with them outta luton to Prague.
The aeroflot nord 737 you have a snap of there is the one that crashed yesterday.
Nice shots – love the MD-11 shot! 🙂
