Currently using the back of an envelope, to protect the dining-table surface from my optical mouse.
My favourite mouse mat is black with glitter on and made of heat-sensitive LCD stuff that changes colour with temperature 🙂

Have a good one!
We did have a pilot who on the take off roll removed most of the yellow paint from the prop tips unfortunatly the wood from the blade went with it! & flew back to base 170 miles away without knowing! (he did not fly it again)
How *would* one know? Would the sound of the prop change? Would there be less available thrust? Or would there be an almighty splintering noise in the first place?
Marvellous. I am enlighted. Thanks guys 🙂
That radial engined car’s solid-looking exhaust/bull bar combination ought to set a few SUV manufacturers thinking!
Saw it last night. It’s pretty good, but kind of different to the others. A lot more action sequences and slightly less storyline, but still good. The direction of James Cameron is hard to beat really. However, Arnie looks in very good shape for a 56-year old!

I couldn’t believe them! Near us at one point in Whitby was a tiny Japanese woman with even tinier children, eating fish and chips. A seagull attacked them quite viciously to steal their food – the mother had to defend her kids from it.
We were amazed, having been in Oban, Scotland, the week before where the seagulls were so well behaved. Even when eating fish and chips right in front of them, they took no notice.
Oh, and if you want the best fish and chips in the UK, eat them in Oban. Best I’ve ever had!

I was brought up on Fairford, so would have started going there mid-70’s-ish? Don’t remember too much about them unfortunately, I have impressions of noise and colour but was only a young kid…
First airshow I took a camera to was Boscombe Down in 1992.
I had some distinctly shiny roast beef sandwiches once in Whitby, which gave me severe food poisoning the next morning. That was the same weekend that a seagull did its business on my head. Moral: Don’t go to Whitby in tourist season…
At the top of my ‘Food I would totally not recommend’ list has to be chicken feet. Served as part of a Dim Sum lunch in a good Chinatown restaurant, they are probably what’s known as an Acquired Taste. Slimy, fatty, ‘orrible things they were too. 😮

Snapper, that’s fantastic. What a lovely memorial. I’m sure Mr Haddon and Mrs Kennedy must be very pleased. Well done Sir!
Damn, just seen this thread. Can you make it a week later? I’ll be back in the UK by then!!
Hello Rob, by the way. Fellow FOD member here; can thoroughly recommend membership. As was said above, it’s very handy if you’re just passing by, and the cockpit access evenings are great.
