Damn, I was going to investigate the 146 – I want a Hatfield built nose/forward fuselage for the museum.

    Bruce

    Bruce,

I pm’d you a while back about a Hatfield structural test nose at Woodford. It’s still there along with portion of test shell centre fuse!!

I’ve still got the contact details if you want them again.

ASI have also scrapped Hatfield examples. I think there’s a couple of noses there including the Amiri flight.

Where is G-SEAH now? Thunder and lightnings has it with Courtesy aircraft sales in the States but it’s not listed on their website.

    Anyhow,

Back to the subject……..by my reckoning that makes blue islands, bnwa, woodgate (occasionally) who use J31/32’s to the rock.

Has anyone seen G-JXTA c/n 610 that was stored in Germany but is now registered to Jetstream Executive Travel?

IIRC, this used to come over here for the summer. Remember seeing it at Woodford a few times. Lovely noise.

Glad you thought my help was useful.

For viewing park, it’s run by The Aviation Society. http://www.tasmanchester.com

The only other contact would be through the Trident preservation website who are currently re-assembling G-AWZK there, and a cracking job they’re doing. I think the chap concerned is a regular poster on here.

I think it’s WV838 (sea hawk cockpit owner) who is the man to contact ref: the liverpool option.

I sincerely hope you pull it off!

The chap from the jetstream club has been willing for airframes to join their collection on here, is that not an option for a stopover? Manchester Viewing Park? Avro Association at Woodford under the Vulcans wing?

Has Jeremy ‘ im so proud of british heritage’ Clarkson been approached? Put it in his garden again 🙂

    Good luck chief

We’ve witnessed the successful relocation of G-AWZK to Manchester, why not do the same with the Cosford example, corrosion withstanding,?

It’s a pity the De Havilland museum don’t have space for it.

I’m appalled the 707 is allegedly getting the chop (well, mostly). A Comet and a 707 side by side is a great exhibit for the dawn of jet travel.

Sadly, money talks nowadays and heritage is generally not a part an airlines agenda except for some notable examples such as Atlantic, SAA flight.

Let’s hope that this situation is not going to happen in the future, although with the number of larger aircraft ‘preserved’ outdoors at the moment, I fear it will.

PLXI used to be registered MATP and as such was the prototype.

The j31 at WFD is long gone. Fuse went to a college in newcastle iirc.

Incidently WV, what is the status of the deal for G-MATP that was reported in flypast last year as possibly going to you guys at liverpool?

    G-TALL c/n 601 first flight 18/3/82

Last known reg G-WMCC. Parted out at Brum 1997.

Before anyone jumps down my throat, this information is relevant for the J31 first production example only, not the HP137.

    Hope it helps Papa Lima.
